for my 2 pence worth it was an extremely difficult decision to take for the stewards but in all honesty they had no choice. the winner took 2nd across the track..bumping it on 2 occasions..and beat it by one inch!come on guyz. i didnt bet in the race...but its not worthy of suprise..its pretty cut and dried. i feel our stewards do evrything to let the winner keep a race which i applaud..i hate french and american stewards...to penal.i love henry cecil and im totaly gutted for him...but fairs fair..the right result in my opionion.

Rather than blame the stewards. Was it not TQ fault for not changing the whip. He cracked at the horses backside several times and sent the horse over. The horse was struggling to get the trip and was tiring, thats when you need a top jock to stear the ship and earn there money.

Queally did get suspended - 3 days for careless riding - which it was imo - the jump boys do it all the time, just before or immediately after jumping the last hurdle or fence, the tiring leader gets yanked
across the pursuing beast, causing that said beast to check its stride and start again, usually too late to past the post first.

everyone knows the correct decision was made....plenty are creatibg though because they wanted the stewards to blatantly ignore the rules because it was the frogs benefiting at the cost of dear old enry

Ask yourself if the same decision would have been taken at catterick / bath or musselburgh

I believe the answer is no , therefore it was the wrong decision.

The thread 3 times the size if the well backed Special Duty had not been given it imo.

I thought that the horse should keep it. The overall opinion of the Stewards was that it shouldn't. Their opinion counts, mine (and probably yours) doesn't.

Very fair points re: the bias. Whether due to over watering or whatever, it has potentially cost anyone involved a lot of money being drawn on the wrong side.

poor all round for a load of reasons - pathetic - a real feel good story becomes a sad story - the best horse past the post 1st end of story - stewards shameful
