I've seen far worse where the first past the post kept the race. Not possible to second guess them these days...

Its a really sad thing for the connections of Jaquelines Quest. I think it was the right decision and heartbreaking it happens in a Group 1 classic.

It's all about the winning distance fawwon. if it's a nose, and you touch the other horse, you're in big trouble. You have to just about kill the other horse if you win by half a length or more though.

It was a pretty straightforward decision, if the rules were to be applied correctly. Just a massive race to have to take it on.
