agreed the French stewards would never have taken the race of one of thier most popular trainers and given the rase to the English, absolute disgraceful decision

Gents - every day of the week you see worse instances of interference with the first past the post keeping the race.

Francome is hopeless on these decisions

God there are some idiots! The horse got carried across the track due to the other jockeys whip use!

Leave out out, joshuag.

There are far far worse incidents every day that don't even make it to the stewards room.

I've seen far worse where the first past the post kept the race. Not possible to second guess them these days...

they have done that because it was the favourite that was beaten
- it is completely inconsistent with other decision made in those circumstances and a disgrace

It could only happen here the gutless bar stewards

The lack of consistency is appaling

It was the right decision. Very sad in this case though. Francome looked a bit of a clown too.

I don't follow the sport really anymore, but what has happened to everyone on here saying you have to just about kill another runner to get thrown out?

Its a really sad thing for the connections of Jaquelines Quest. I think it was the right decision and heartbreaking it happens in a Group 1 classic.

What a sad shame the rules are not consistently followed

loper, every day there are worse cases that never make it into the room.

Give the jockey a few days, leave the result would have happened in 9999 out of 10,000 cases.

It's all about the winning distance fawwon. if it's a nose, and you touch the other horse, you're in big trouble. You have to just about kill the other horse if you win by half a length or more though.

It was a pretty straightforward decision, if the rules were to be applied correctly. Just a massive race to have to take it on.

if the winner wasnt cecil trained & the 2nd wasnt french, that would have been 1.3 to get the race, people didnt think they would chuck a cecil horse out imo.

The distance was a nose. Was the interference LIKELY to have affected the result.
Answer-Yes.
