To put into context how ridicilous Dunguib's price is, he is the joint 2nd lowest rated horse in the field yet he is joint favourite, granted there is potential improvement to come from him but there's no way I can have him in a race of this standard! That would be too skinny even if he had won at Cheltenham plus the ground likely not to suit!

By:
BBJ would you of fancied Dunguib to win the Nov champ race though instead?
|
|

i agree jonh its too short on form but they price on potential!!i think ground will be fine, infact, presentings are be suited by good ground!!

Destroyer, what price do you think GMOOH would of been priced up yourself?
|
|

Funny enough I bet the winner of that race Blackstairmountain! Yeah I prob would of fancied him to win that race but would still of bet Blackstairmountain because Dunguib would have been such a ridicilous price that it would of meant even more value on BSM!

If Hurricane Fly is back to anywhere near what he promised to be then I expect to see an exciting champion hurdle battle at cheltenham next year between him and Binocular, although Binocular will rob get up the hill better than the fly!

Destroyer, what price do you think GMOOH would of been priced up yourself? 6/7 - 1. But imo shoukd be much closer to the price of Dunguib, if not lower. Dunguib came there to win the race at Chelters but colnt quicken imo. |

Well BSM could of beat him I guess, clearly didn't run his race at Chelt. Could tell how disappointed Willie was as Flat Out finished in front of him.. will be a good horse next season anyway, novice chasing isn't he?

I don't really blame Dunguib for losing at Chelt though Destroyer. Don't really think there is that much separating the max speed of the top horses, just the difference in their ability to keep that speed endurance and not overstep their lactate threshold.. in which something Dunguib looked to have higher than other horses.. we'll see tomorrow if it's true. Just too far away at Chelt for me, can't let quality horses like GMOOH and Menorah get that much of a headstart.

I really can't understand Punjabi's price, with the ground how it is I fail to see how he is bigger than Solwhit, I can't see why Dunguib is shorter purely on form! The only horse I would have shorter possibly is Hurricane Fly but even with that horse hes had his problems been off for a long time and still to prove he is as good as he potentially has promised espesh on that Go Native form from a while ago.

nice bet for u on punjabi then i think
:D |

I understand why Punjabi is bigger though, don't think he's shown form similar to that of last year. Definitely has to bounce back from poor run at Chelt. Think Solwhit has a legitimate excuse for poor CH showing with all that drama week before and has seemed pretty versatile with slow and strong paced races. Think people read too much in to Solwhit winning over 20f which would therefore make him not quick enough for 16f.. obviously not everyone thinks like this, but people do. Anyway GL with Punjabi!

Yeah I'm thinking about having a fairly decent wager on him 2moro. His form this season hasn't been the best that is my biggest worry. I might have a saver on HF as well.

For those who question Hurricane Fly's fitness I would like to remind you all of Quevega going in Cheltenham. Similar sentiments from WM but when it came to it she was revved up to 99% for the day. I would go so far as to argue that his freshness actually gives him an advantage. Look at the way he hosed up in the novice event here last year after missing Chelt. WM will have him at the best he can get him and for me the question marks over the others make 7/2 an excellent bet. in fact fck it i'm lumping on :-)
