EVERYONE on this thread seems to assume its a two horse race......what about the WINNER!!!!!.......VOLER LAVEDETTE

i like Quantitativeeasing actually!!havent had a bet yet but i think his last race was an absolute farce and will love the good ground!!will be nice and fresh too, think hes got a great chance, mccoy over hurdles too, no better man!!
havent looked at the flat yet but will have a bet im sure!!chabal running for godolphin, will be interesting to see how he runs! you? |
By:
ryanwe...she has to have a great chance...i presume that'll be the plan
hardly go for the david nicholson again? still will only be a seven year old next festival so no rush i suppose |
By:
she ALMOST beat them on the bridle!!i was delighted watching her come up to last cantering, love to see that!!v impressive, wouldnt beat BB imo HOWEVER id prob just back the one ruby picks:) not that he always gets it right!

Well I shall put this seed of doubt in your mind Ilwab! The race Reve de Sivola was in.. was 2.23sec quicker than the Coral Cup later on the card in which QuantitativeEasing ran in. Obviously RDS only got beat 2l.. QE got beat 8l, and carried 7lb less. I like RDS a lot, and hopefully someone will go 3/1 in morn.. have to bet it compared to QE at 6/1, looks like that horse has a lot to find in my book. But GL anyway haha!

ya w anker LOL, yeah reve ran a good race behind PC form franked AGAIN by PC!!looks strong!

Well lads I heard Willie say that it's a definite possibility, would be a cracking match up if both fit.. as this years world hurdle was pretty disappointing in terms of challengers. I'd definitely take a chance with Quevega, she has an unbelievable attitude, settles so beautifully whatever the pace, makes it look so effortless. She is going to be one hell of a valuable broodmare surely. Get some Presenting Jigging it with her.. whoever the sire, throw Sea The Stars in. She is going to have some sexy kids!

EVERYONE on this thread seems to assume its a two horse race......what about the WINNER!!!!!.......VOLER LAVEDETTE Considering that the thread is called Dunguib or Hurricane Fly it is fair to say that the majority of the content will be about these horses. Voler La Vedette will not have enough pace in my opinion. |
By:
lhaha!yeah id defo give here a chance, after that display anyway, major chance but u kno BB hes just awesome but would be great to see a horse give him a race........for once!gives us better odds anyway!!

Dunguib
Philip Fenton, trainer: "We're more than happy with him and very satisfied with the ground after walking it yesterday. I will walk it again with Brian [O'Connell, jockey] in the morning, but the whole idea is to run and, bar the watering system breaking down, he will. He is ready for action and we will certainly be disappointed if he's out of the money." Hurricane Fly Willie Mullins, trainer of Hurricane Fly: "Hurricane Fly has been doing everything right at home these past few weeks. He will love the track and the ground but it will be a tough task for him having been off for so long." |

By:
rYANWE...have you taken into account Luska Lad is running in the race.He was as game as a pebble in beating Blackstairmountain and you saw what he did two days ago.
By:
Not even sure why I bother reading Willie's comments, never gives anything away.. learnt a thing or two from AOB haha.
By:
yeah its a full bank job for him to place i think!!i know they think hes a supre star, i remember reading after the supreme he said he didnt blame brian and that he was sure that BRIAN WOULD MAKE UP FOR IT lol....next time!
By:
dunguib already beat LUSKA LAD 13L unextended!!!
By:
willie said polmar the other evening
By:
Yeah I respect LL.. but, thought he had quite a hard race, not convinced he will act better on this quicker ground than it with cut too. Plus I thought he was lucky to beat BSM who emptied like he had been shot final half furlong. LL will probably improve for step up in trip too, especially on the ground, in fact I would say he needs this trip on the forecast ground.. but think RDS form is stronger.
By:
thell not see which way the hurricane went
By:
again two fascinating races which will no doubt throw up loads of questions for next year
roll on..... gl tomorrow...love these festivals... |
By:
10th race of season for LL too.. yet RDS only 5th start.. proven form at championship level at this trip on good ground.. deserves to be ahead of LL in the betting. Just my opinion though.
By:
Are they both not hype horses iyo's?
By:
he ALREADY DESTROYED LL 13 L unextended on heavy going!would be amazed if LL finished ahead of him!!!1.9 place dunguib looks decent to me, that what ill prob do, and maybe 50 on himself and h'fly to win!
By:
Haha Ilwab, you know Dunguib and LL are in entirely different races right?! LL is against Reve De Sivola!
By:
this is embarrassing!!! lol NO I DIDNT, i thought that was sch.. argument!lol dont mind me!
By:
You are right though.. Dunguib at evens to get placed is pretty tempting.. even if he doesn't jump that well, has to have the biggest engine in the race.
By:
:D :^0
By:
Yeah Destroyer, they definitely do have a lot of hype surrounding them. Both their bubbles definitely pierced too, but not burst! HF definitely has to prove it against the seasoned pro's.. I just can't forget how impressive he was as a novice last season though, and I hope he proves how good he is.. just like CCB! ;)
By:
luska tough as teak though
By:
Punjabi could be the one imo. 13/2 Looks big, has an impressive course record and question marks about the first few in the betting.
By:
Fly wins this battle IMO, different class the fly
By:
amazed if not in 1st 3, hell i expect him to win if race is run to suit and even if not, once jock is tactically aware of whats happening he must ATLEAST place!!dont see punjabi and solwith worrying him tbh!!dont mean to disrespect them, 2 v good horses but i think dunguib better!
By:
Voler La Verdette pour moi
2/3 at the course, cheltenham form looks rock solid, 2miles her trip, form against some top g1 hurdlers earlier in the season, trainer and jockey know exactly whats requied to win this. 9/1 1pt eachway |
By:
Punjabi and Dunguib should be the other way round in the betting! Dunguib just like at Cheltenham is priced up on hype!
By:
i agree BB john but i still think dunguib better but based on form punjabi should be shorter and vice versa
By:
I would have HF all day long over Dunguib at the prices! but still think Punjabi could beat them both.
By:
Guess hype comes before actual performance in the betting though. Too many optimists in the gambling fraternity haha.
By:
What price would GMMOH be in this iyo?
By:
GMOOH*
By:
I reckon 5/1.. definitely behind Dunguib anyway. Not that I think he should be mind.
By:
5/1 3rd fav i think!i know he beat dunguib but i still think bookies would have dunguib ahead of him!!
By:
Haha snap!
