I think Willie will have the Fly absolutely 100000% spot on for tomorrow personally.
By:
h'fly should be fav but im not satisfied with supreme result and believe dunguib is the real deal!!he's the one for me!

By:
Too difficult a race for me , wouldn't be confident of picking the winner if you give me 6 choices tbh not at this time of the season.

By:

If Hurricane is 100% fit, Dunguib will need to improve a stone plus on anything that it has achieved over hurdles so far. Dunguib ran a sound race in the Supreme Novices but ultimately had every chance and didn't beat horses which wouldn't be in the same league (at the moment anyway) as Hurricane. Dunguib will do very well to run into a place; and I don't think there'd be any shame in that.
By:
was a shockin ride, covered an extra 2 furlongs in supreme and ran his race by the time jock had him to challenge!!dunguib will never be beat by gmooh or menorah again imo!!was the best horse in the supreme imo anyway, given a bad ride, plain and simple, u dont hold a horse up when theres no pace ffs!!that combined with the fact that gmooh and menor are above average themselves, was never gonna catch them!!tomorrow you'll see a different horse, if not, im givin up!
By:
Dunguib will do very well to run into a place whatttttt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He looks nailed onto place...Dunguib is a freak of nature
By:
Yoooo Ilwab. What do you think Barry is gonna do with Dunguib tomorrow in the likelihood of a modest gallop then?
By:
Even more pressure on O'Connell tomorrow after what went on before, during and after Chelt.
By:
on the ground surely punjabi should be on the premises?
By:
brian:) if modest gallop i think he'll have him up with the pace and ready to challenge when ready!!i think hes very uncomplicated, yes his jumping is sh!te, lets be honest but the fact is it doesnt inconvenience him, thats the main thing!im pretty sure he'll win!!there i said it lol no fence sitting!!if he doesnt, ill accept it but just cant have it that menorah and gmooh are better than him based on his ride in supreme!if he isnt placed tomorrow ill accept the supreme result how about that!!
By:
LOL.. I just wish that 'Brian' was more like Barry Geraghty.. obviously why I got mixed up. Am sure Barry wouldn't of given that ride at Chelt!
By:
barry would have stuck to tactics just like any other jockey, brian had nothing to do with it. Brian also went on to have two good winners the next day also. any blame on him is unfair.
Anyway, I also believe Dunguib will win tomorrow, but to say his jumping doesn't inconvenience him is silly. It definitely inconvenienced him at Cheltenham at the last. Very, very slow jump. He wouldn't have won from there anyway, but if there's a few in with a shout and he jumps like that when he needs to be quick I'd be worried. Hopefully though when he jumps the last tomorrow he's the only horse in with a shout :). |
By:
haha!yeah no doubt!!i mean this is just an opinion, im sure there bundles waitin to lay him but just on what i saw, i think hes better than supreme result, but i can see the arguments against!!i think he'll run a stormer tomorrow!!i think only h'fly can beat him!
By:
The thing is I don't think Dunguib can go a modest gallop. Isn't he normally keen, hence why they've been keeping him at the back behind other horses to try settle him. If he is at the front like you say, they won't be hanging around. TBH him running from near the front never seemed to do him any damage, I don't really understand why they need to switch him off.. jumps a lot better with daylight too. Can't wait for tomorrow anyway, am on the Fly ante post at 9/2. Talk that Dunguib might not run if too quick, which would be great for my bet.. but I'd rather him run, just for the spectacle of a fascinating race.
By:
well of course it does inconvenience him, but what i mean is, if he wouldve been at the last with menorah and gmooh, regardless of how bad he jumps it, there is only one winner!!
By:
fair enough, although I'm still not entirely sure I agree considering how short the run-in was.
I do too think he'll win very nicely though, so here's hoping we see what he's really made of! :) |
By:
extra 2 furlongs.... walofs
By:
Yeah I don't want to blame Brian, I know he is following orders.. just think it's wrong that he has to follow the orders to the letter. Is he just a robot on a horse who they feed instructions to.. and they forgot to compute with him to be up with the pace if there was no pace. Or was it.. this is Chelt.. going no pace is unthinkable, so let's not bother thinking up that scenario. BTW I had backed Menorah and GMOOH. Just feel like the owner/trainer is actually riding the horse and not Brian.
By:
see being held up with a modest gallop in most races and hes won but hes not taking on horses of similar ability so he cant afford to give them too much respect (a la supreme)...nice price, yeah h'fly massive chance, was my champion pick b4 injury, outstanding horse, dunguib will have to put in his best to beat a 100% h'fly!!
u back ccb today?? layed riverside for place, was afraid to with psycho when all the money came for him:) couldnt understand it, raging i didnt now! |
By:
figure of speech borntowin....obviously!!come on man, common sense please!
By:
backed both ccb nd planet of sound at chelt, not this week though. :@
By:
nice wicked, wd mate!!
By:
LOL yes I did back CCB today.. 11/4 ante post.. what a mug I am. Funnily enough I actually managed to back him at biggest price he reached before the off at 6.6 though. But anyway lost over 100 from betting him Ante post instead of waiting.. silly me. Also had LYG 16/1 EW. Before that race, Done both Quevega at 4/1 and Bensalem at 16/1.. if only I bothered to do F/C's haha! My only 2 winners, other horses was abysmal before that. Was happy to finish over 230 up, as could of lost half a grand if nothing went right.
You do anything else today? And any other fancies for tomorrow? |
By:
Actually LYG at 20/1 with LB, nothing special either, was just a saver of £15EW. Was trying to working out who to cheer at the final fence, not that it ever makes any difference.. but you like to think it does ;)
By:
BE SERIOUS FOLKS!!!!!!! Dunguib is a good horse, nothing more nothing less.Hurricane Fly on the other hand is a seriously classy horse and even without a run will still beat Dunguib.
By:
I think you made the better judgement call in laying Riverside for a place though, he wasn't going too well at the time of his fall was he? But Psycho was still travelling strongly? So god knows what would of happened.
By:
yeah backed quevega and fibs and flannel at bev,had a ton on wulfrida in the 3.00 at bev too, that was my best bet of the day but she was sweating badly and i was able to get my stake back b4 the off, came 2nd, will win nto, no doubt, was best horse in race, if anything, hayley gave he too much to do!!other than that, nothin much man!!
By:
Neither.
By:
but won't beat solwhit
By:
Quevega is a beauty isn't she. If only women were as reliable, they could learn a thing or two from this filly - haha! Will have to keep an eye on that horse you mentioned, make sure you remind me next time it runs and if you fancy it. Am so out of touch with flat racing, feel like I'm falling further, and further behind. No fancies for tomorrow?! Surely not true.
By:
i cant decide between the two
may just back both small stakes and enjoy the race, aslong as they both run WELL im happy as got both antepost for champ hurdle 2011 |
By:
Sorry, I should say mare.. but she has the enthusiam of a filly!
By:
At the moment I think that Hurricane Fly is a much better horse than Dunguib. The only doubt I have about him is his lack of a recent run. Dunguib was a victim of bad placement in a slowly run race at the festival, but I think the form is rock solid.
My bet though will be a little each way on Medermit. |

By:
super mare ryan

By:
eirered.. Reckon she could beat Big Bucks in the world hurdle? Would love to see her have a crack at him.
