Yes well done Quito. Mickleson was amazing.

I let my Westwood poke run but happy with Choi making the frame.

Was thinking Mark Williams for that. Won the China open lto and looked good in his last match-up with Ronnie. No idea on his price or draw so will do some checking.

With but 10 days to go before the doors open for yet another WC's, I am happy to confirm the OFFICIAL list of top 10 snooker nicknames in the world today,as;

1. Alan 'Angles' McManus (NAP)
2. Stephen 'The Rolls Royce Of Snooker' Hendry
3. Shaun 'Storsmurfen' Murphy
4. Willie 'The Homer Simpson Of Snooker' Thorn
5. Nigel '00-147' Bond
6. Anthony 'The Sheriff of Pottingham' Hamilton (NB)
7. Cliff 'Rhett Butler Of The Green Baize' Thorburn
8. Marco 'Full Of Eastern Promise' Fu
9. Andy 'The Toast Of Tavistock' Hicks
10. Alain 'Scoobie' Robidoux

Perhaps quite cruely, the following selections were balloted out of the final field;

Reserve 1. Peter '9 Drags' Ebdon
Reserve 2. Ding 'Pot Noodle' Junhui
Reserve 3. Anthony 'The Robin Hood Of Snooker' Hamilton
Reserve 4. Graeme 'Pot the Lot Dott' Dott

As you can see, there are some sumptuous nicknames gracing our sport both past and present. The question is, which is your favourite?

Im stubborn on Williams, and he has cost me a packet a week back, but the China Open is a very different beast to the WC's; He is overbet in my view and worth opposing.

As much as some of these players are now making, China is often seen as a jolly and not treated seriously by the likes of ROS etc.

I don't see why not. Draw = good. Ground = no problem.

Only thing would be that you'd want to see MUNNEE for it wouldn't you. Was punted when touched off at Suv.

It bled lto too.

Thanks for the link Alay,

and he played a delicate shot with his left hand ala O'Sullivan and what a good pot with rest and extension to finish off with,

pity about the morons and their comments at the bottom of the clip though :(
