Morning.

That dog Dr.Hart runs again today :p (3.40 Exeter) He probably has a leading chance in the race. Mixture of non-stayers/horses out of form in there imo and the extra yardage from last time where he just got up should suit. I wont be backing him of course, after the epsiode last time.
Report bidders itch April 13, 2010 9:42 AM BST
no rain up here for a while and conditions condusive to drying out so I wouldn't anticipate it to be a test.

4.30 Yarmouth - Alcalde = ungenuine mince, ditto Bugaku, Raptor up in the weights in a better race, Hollow Green = well handicapped good Doncaster form = sound bet at 11/2. Am I missing something?
Report cgull April 13, 2010 11:21 AM BST
Quito and I drew similar conclusions off air, bidders.
Report cgull April 13, 2010 11:21 AM BST

P Evans yard in form? I find his yrd very difficult to read...
Report cgull April 13, 2010 11:27 AM BST
3 winners and 10 places from 37 runners last fortnight. Not hot or cold imo.
Report Quito April 13, 2010 11:28 AM BST
Methinks bidders has been STUNG by Alcalde in the past. HG should be fav though - if Bugaku was trained by anyone other than the Bajan knight, you wouldn't be interested in backing the vole at 20s.

Lang Shining 10/1. Presumably his backers were encouraged by a furlong defeat in the Lincoln.
Report cgull April 13, 2010 11:29 AM BST
Could be Zoey's punters? She rates the form of the Lincolnshire.

Bugakau had winning first time up last year as the only thing going for him today as far as I could see.

Harrison did look rather good. Quite a strong looking beast aswell in the winners enclosure after.

Moaning.

It looks quite compettive at HQ today imo.
Report cgull April 14, 2010 9:36 AM BST
I agree imo. I have so far had one bean on the Godolphin 2nd string in the 3.00. Liked Hughie's 4.10 runner last term. All a bit tricky though really.
Report sintonian April 14, 2010 9:42 AM BST
Yup. Also, reading the info Jamesp posted (ante-post section) on the 4.10 , it is a bit of a mixed bag statistically. Horses can win with penalties in the race, right down to horses coming from maidens (provided they are trained by messrs Stoute,Cecil,Gosden). I was looking at Queens Grace aswell and Hafawa, but dont think you can rule many of them out. 5/1 the field currently on here.
Report Cheers For Thea April 14, 2010 10:02 AM BST
G'day,
Looks an interesting day and as i'm sure will be said on RUK one for the video tape (or Sky+)..
Heard positives for the Meehan horse in the first, Haggas too but maybe not 2day, Nosedas in the latter maiden whilst Timepiece and Safina are meant to have wintered well. Usual come on for run chat though so I dont think I will be dipping my toe in too deeply, if at all. One of my 2yr olds to follow was Longliner who i see has been well supported already in the ££ race.
Report Cheers For Thea April 14, 2010 10:03 AM BST
Of the switcherers I thought Colonel Mak looked interesting. The Barron has what looks a live wun at Kempton tomorrow I thought...

Did it for the paper yesterday - very hard to gauge what price to put it in at. When the dangers are Fromsong and Misaro, you know you have found the right race though.

As you say it is an impossible one to price up. 4-5/1 at a guess..

HQ looks tough again today. Thought that perhaps Crticial Moment was a tadge overpriced at 20/1, possible ground excuses lto, but there look to be many with solid chances so have left it.

I thought Serva Jugum was worth a bet today 3.10 Ripon. Trainer not had any winners yet but a couple ran well yesterday and this horse has some good form in the book. 5/1.
Report sintonian April 15, 2010 10:40 AM BST
No watering at HQ ? Must be getting pretty quick now with that head wind yesterday.
Report cgull April 15, 2010 10:40 AM BST
I will do that race again imo, sint. I thought Exit Smiling had a shout.
Report cgull April 15, 2010 10:41 AM BST
Fast side of good is ok by me. If trainers don't want to run on it then that's up to them.
Report sintonian April 15, 2010 10:50 AM BST
Yup indeed.

Equiano ran a close 2nd to Tax Free first time up last season. TF is a serious horse on his day imo especially on quick ground. I suppose Equiano was disappoinging thereafter but 7/2 on here is worht a little win bet iyo ??
Report cgull April 15, 2010 10:56 AM BST
If it's in that sort of form I guess. It is another race where I can't rule enough out to be confident. I know he'd ideally want a bigger field and come through late but if Makin can get cover then Barney M will love this ground.

Anyone read the racing for change on page 6

the best bit for me is the new larger saddle cloths

Its a good idea to be able to see the numbers i think, but for some tracks to say they arent introducing it because of lack of funds is just ludicrous isnt it.

UNless the saddlecloths are made of gold and diamond encrusted.
