Fast side of good is ok by me. If trainers don't want to run on it then that's up to them.

Yup indeed.

Equiano ran a close 2nd to Tax Free first time up last season. TF is a serious horse on his day imo especially on quick ground. I suppose Equiano was disappoinging thereafter but 7/2 on here is worht a little win bet iyo ??

If it's in that sort of form I guess. It is another race where I can't rule enough out to be confident. I know he'd ideally want a bigger field and come through late but if Makin can get cover then Barney M will love this ground.

morning all

looking forward to the 8pm race tonight. if trachonitis & incendo get involved in a 'scrap' inside the last furlong, they could both trade 1.02 before ending up a dead heat!

It doesn't get much better than Dolphin Rock imo.

Anyone read the racing for change on page 6

the best bit for me is the new larger saddle cloths

Its a good idea to be able to see the numbers i think, but for some tracks to say they arent introducing it because of lack of funds is just ludicrous isnt it.

UNless the saddlecloths are made of gold and diamond encrusted.

Always the way!

Bene Lad looks a horse to keep backing till he gets beat to me here in the next at ayr.

Sure it is a system that will save me money in the long run, dan. Frustrating all the same.

I feel your pain Quito as I had the same dilemma but I consoled myself with the thought that however frustrating it was for me, it must have been even more frustrating to be P Hanagan over the final furlong up against a sack of potatoes on a much better horse.

Thought Medici Time would go well in the 4.45. Gibbons gets on well with him but just wish I could see some pace in the race. They all look like hold-up horses to me..
Any of you lads spot the pace?

Not sniffed a winner since October, having had the summer from heaven. Slightly surprising, particularly if you a cynical observer.

Aye, fair point. The good one didn't run especially well at HQ either.

Bit harsh surely!
Many of his horses are just badly handicapped. Always struck me as a bit clueless unlike his old man.

Maybe. M Bin Shafiya wasn't so clever in Dubai this winter though.

couple of very nice switcher winners there cgull! 10/1 select committee seems fair, given the way the winner just won the 4.15

What's the Midgley MO at Thirsk iyos? The switcher and Culhane?
By:
alayaday
When: 16 Apr 10 16:41
i wasn't sure about 5f for the switcher. thought the fav drifting was maybe more due to people knowing he'll be slow away & rousted along early rather than anything sinister? makes the race more interesting though!
