red when you lay at a price its because you believe the price should be bigger.....you do not lay at a correct market price when there is not enough proven form-lines running for you!
Each to his own as you say and you are brave enough to post your lays.

Chin up Red, if it was easy then everyone would be doing it. That's what this laying game is like sometimes, one step forwards, two (or more!) back! Respect for posting up lays in advance.
Good runs come after bad. Just remember today when you score a clean sheet in the future...

DAY TWENTY STATS

Today: 6/12 (50.00%)
Overall: 142/174: (81.61%)
P/(L) - 3.7% comm: -(£399.21)

Bank Incr. month: -(£3.61)
Bank Incr. (20/03): £700.39

Heartbreaking day today. One of them things I guess. Gonna try to brush myself down, and come out fighting tomorrow. Doesn't take a genius to work out a 50% strike rate is nowhere near good enough. Bank after 20 days stands at £4,700.39 with tomorrow's stakes remaining the same

Red,
I'm very interested in your progress. I think your stakiing plan is perfect and recognised in a number of sports betting staking plans e.g. Poker. Where I'm a little confused is i) can I ask is there any science behind your selections e.g. favourites* and ii) have you subtracted commission which for me is 5% and makes all the difference.

I've tried similar plans but the selections are key. I've noticed that in races with more than 13 runners the fav rarely wins for example. I've also undertaken numerous studies and on any given day fav win in a pattern like this
WWLWLLWWWLLLLWL so it's impossible to lay using a multiply system as there is usually one block of loser and c/f losses to next race is impossible because v soon the exposure runs into £ thousands. I like your system but interested in selection strategy and commission?Well done and keep winning.

The commision (Which for me is 3.7%) is taken off at the end of the day. The selections are just my own, I do occasionally take on favs but not exclussively. If and when i do, I take them on in handicaps

Ok thanks. Are you finding the trend is still up from day 1 with your £4,000 bank? Excuse me for being nosey but thinking of trying something similar. I also assume you stick rigidly to the staking plan system?

I post my results at the end of everyday. Lost £399 yesterday, worst day I've had laying in terms of strike rate et al. Although was quite unlucky with a couple of fallers at the last etc.

However, before yesterday, was over £1,099 up in 20 days. Still £700 up in 3 weeks

Well you must have a bank to begin with. Red uses a system which exposes up to 1% of his bank at any one time. My guidance is along those lines but never exceed 5% of your bank at any one time. This should provided your selections are good, mean that should you have a losing streek you won't go bust. I think that's the reason.
