This hunter fav looks a good thing Did you get owt out of the race? Made a total horlicks here, backed the fav after seeing your post, saw the first couple of iffy jumps, layed back for a guaranteed loss, and plaice layed to boot! |

Wont Sky be showing any coverage later ? Hate when the beeb just show the main protagonists
By:
done Di Maria AGS in the Liverpool game tonight. Thought he looked Benfica's main threat last time and caused their Defence loads of problems.
By:
augusta have a strange rule whereby they wont allow much tv coverage sint. sky don't get any coverage at all, only bbc. been much better in recent years though now you can watch all the groups go through amen corner interactively

candyfloss girl has the least sexy profile of the runner in the 7.50 but i feel is slightly overpriced bahamian lad in the next plum draw conditions ideal if anything could still be improving fair price |

He should really win easily on his old flat form.

thought it looked quite difficult at Aintree today.
I backed Offshore Account for the grand national after his recent run as I thought he had a right chance in that off 12lb lower than last year (he was leading the field 2 out before fading) but he did not get in and runs in the topham later. I think decent ground makes a big difference to how he jumps, which is why imo he returned to form last time at Cheltenham. Prior to that he'd been running on Soft & Heavy and getting well beaten and dropped down the wieghts as a result and it's interesting that the only times he has had g/s in the past year or so was in the National, Cheltenham last time and in the Hennessy early season where he unfortunately unseated at the first fence. Im not saying he needs decent ground becasue he has won on Heavy twice as a novice , but think it makes a big difference to how he jumps. Today he is 8/1 which is pretty short given he only has one good run to his name this season. |

I've been looking at that Topham, really is dfficult. couldn't be backing one at 8s in that race.I'm thinking about the classy In Compliance myself at 20/1 ish.
By:
Yeah it is short enough, but think he is on a fair mark now. A small win bet only, my national bet was NRNB.
In Compliance should go well. Dessie Hughes seems to know what type of horse to send here doesn't he.. |
By:
topham could be ideal for offshore, he did go well until fading late on in the national.

3:25 Is an interesting race. I was on Highland Warrior on Sunday @ 140 and gave Pickard several kicks up the aris from 300 miles away to get a shifty on from the back to no avail.. Have to have a small bet today, race should be run ideally, but the valoo is with Musical Bridge & Lucky Art for me (ran a cracker fto last year) who was running ok off low 70s last year, hopefully tracking the pace from out wide. Lucky Art is surely over priced, had a 2L verdict over Musical Bridge at Newcastle last year, recent aw runs show he might be ready to strike (Trick or Two similar profile, might have been much closer if not going so hard?). There is surely going to be a pace burnup on the rail? I'm not bothered by Sir Geoffrey, could bolt up but not for me despite the yards' form.

By:
i was on HW sunday too muq, win only of course! would think he'll trade bigger than current price in running today, especially with the ground forecast to be quicker than sunday
By:
maybe ground not quicker at muss today judging by 65 secs for first race!
By:
good shout muq
By:
cheera alay.
Did you get involved today? Really is a grand old horse. shame that couldn't have been Sunday, we would still be hungover! |
By:
no i didn't muq, had to hose up after sunday didn't it ffs! it went to around 7/8 in running in the first furlong, but none of it mine
