Qatar Prix du Jockey Club - Maxime Guyon on Sinileo: "We think he's a very good horse"
Supplemented for the Qatar Prix du Jockey Club, Sinileo enters this Group 1 race with only one race under his belt, an extremely rare occurrence. His jockey Maxime Guyon tells us more about his participation. After an excellent debut at the Chantilly racetrack on 16 May, Sinileo (A. Fabre) was added to the Qatar Prix du Jockey Club this Sunday. It is almost never seen to appear on the Group 1 for 3-year-old foals with only one course in the legs. This grandson of Plumania, dressed in the Wertheimer & Frère jacket, has inherited the draw of 4. A number that fully satisfies his jockey Maxime Guyon. At the microphone of Maxime Bourrat this Thursday in ParisLongchamp, Maxime Guyon said he was "confident" 72 hours before the event in Chantilly |

NO market for this all day since the draw this morning on the SportsBook!!
![]() The Fabre horse has gone from 12/1 & 10/1 last night into 8/1 and they won’t lay on any horse in the race!! ![]() Will be 6/1 tomoz and getting shorter. Anti - post forum for something that doesn’t exist and the worst named company in history!! |

coolmore and the Exchange market , what a rip off its been since the dante, seems Lion NOT RUNNING

I'll lay Delacroix. The horse is unlikely to stay the Derby distance. He's by Dubawi!
By:
Good luck Impossible - I haven’t seen anyone that fancies him.
Nebras didn’t do much for the Racing Post Trophy form last night @ Sandown, nor did Hotazhel in the Irish 2000. I don’t have an opinion on whether he’ll stay, just think that he won races that were ran in his favour over in Ireland. In that however - he’s had an easy prep. |
By:
I think The Lion In Winter will be scratched, and possibly retired soon after; the horse is unlikely to run anyway if he'd not even make The Derby having missed The Guineas. The Eclipse is unlikely too, I believe.
All my antepost are burnt but that's horseracing - the peril of backing a Coolmore hotpot. Delacroix is not for me. |
By:
The consolation is I lay him for a Green. Otherwise, the effort would have been completely wasted.
By:
Tiberius Thunder Hasn’t done much for the form of Delacroix either.
By:
Do people think that he’ll be retired or targeted elsewhere?
By:
I’d watched his interviews pre and post Dante where he seemed flustered.
Saying as I posted : Also said , “He feels very classy he’d have no problem going back to a mile and a quarter…” How far is the Dante? - He’s talking like it was a mile and a half!!! Shocked Was that a semi Frauduan slip potentially telling us that he would drop back to a mile? He bet the horse that won the Guineas looks like a miler to me, ran with speed in the Dante… then found zilch! |

Anyone remember this?
By Marcus Armytage from the Telegraph However, if ever racing needed a gentle reminder that a genius walks among us then it was not just the victory of Circus Maximus in the St James’s Palace, an eighth win in the race for O’Brien, but the fact that the colt was in the race at all. It is not unique for a horse to run in the Derby and then win the St James’s Palace, but the timing is tight, the Derby often exacts a heavy toll on a horse, and it is unconventional to drop back from a mile and a half to a mile in one hit. And although O’Brien credited the colt’s owners for the 11th-hour decision to supplement the horse for the race minutes before the deadline, the idea was so far out of the box it can only have come from the trainer. “His point was that he was not far behind Phoenix of Spain as a two-year-old, stick a pair of blinkers on him [to make up the distance] and that just about sums it up,” said John Magnier, the Coolmore supremo. Missing the derby gives him time and that might be all that he needs. The SJP 20/1 looks weak and I’ve doubts about Mattisse over the stiff mile. |

The game/manipulation/insider trading is still carrying on. The Lion In Winter has been matched at 8 from over 15 yesterday. Yet, nothing from AOB. Please tread carefully. The rug can/will/has been pulled suddenly without hesitation from his connections.
When something feels stinky, it usually is! |

i just wonder with the drift yesterday , that theyre not sure to go for the derby or with my hunch is they might be considering st james palace

You’ll remember that I said that when I haven’t had a bet that I can scratch around and look for the sake of it! Not normally a good idea!!
![]() But there IS ONE who is well over odds when you look at bare form lines…. |
By:
The lines are ones that I’ve been berating in terms of Delacroix being fav.
Stanhope Gardens beaten by the above 16/1 in most places Delacroix 9/4 beaten by Hotazhell - over a mile Tennessee Stud beaten by Hotazhell - 50/1 over a mile In the Beresford where that form line occurred Lambourn 10/1 was stone cold last! Lop sided market surely? I know he was well beaten by Delacroix on his first run, but the more I watch racing I know targets are targets. Many won’t stay - (looks a boat to me also) but he will. I expect people to laugh, but that’s how I see form against the odds. I’ve always played the odds. Out at 100’s on the machine so maybe a NON RUNNER. |

Rain in the forecast for most days next week.
Current going is good, so I presume they have already been watering. Expect some cut in the ground come Friday and Saturday. |

Poignant Aga Khan runner to be supplemented for Derby as unbeaten colt bids to follow in footsteps of France's last winner
Midak is as short as 10-1 having won the trial also landed by Pour Moi on his way to Derby victory |
By:
When is the last day to supplement? When is the final declaration?
By:
tomorrow :
The potential field for the Derby will be narrowed down on Tuesday at the first scratchings stage. Supplementary entries can be added to the Derby on June 2, although it will cost connections £75,000 to do so. |
By:
Wasn’t too impressed by Midak at Saint Cloud, his main rival Uther ran a stinker but Nitoi did not a lot for their form today, but he was drawn badly and it was seen more of a mile and half type as I told you the other here.
By:
Graffard said Candalgan has strengthened up a lot since Dubai, he had something to work Midak with so that is at least intriguing.
I recall the last Aga supp being Visindar when Fabre trained for them. |
By:
Cheers 'Delashay'. This year's renewal is open unless Ruling Court stays and runs away with it.
By:
Welcome Impossible after three races Midak has earned a respectful rating. He’s open to improvement obviously, will look through his form.
By:
The worry with Ruling is that he wasn’t going away at the line in the Guineas.
By:
I think it would be difficult for Ruling Court to have done that given the eventual 2nd was closing with every stride. However, the 1st 3 did pull 3 clear of the 4th though.
I do not know what to make of the possible French supplementary runner, Midak. I think the rightful fav ought to be Pride Of Aras (not Delacroix). The former would be if he was trained by AOB. |
By:
looks to be some rain in forecast Friday/Saturday
By:
New Ground will also be supplemented for France
By:
New Ground, trained by Henri-Francois Devin who, like Graffard, will be saddling a first Derby runner, will head to Epsom off the back of third placed efforts in the Prix La Force – notably chasing home the Jockey Club second and fifth – and in the Prix de Suresnes.
Speaking about the decision at Chantilly, Juddmonte racing manager Barry Mahon said: "I thought he ran a big race in his two trials but I think it was evident that he wants 12 [furlongs]. The temptation was to come here today but we just felt that the extra two furlongs would bring out a bit more improvement. "The owners were very keen to supplement and let him have a go at the 12 furlongs, rather than wait for the Grand Prix de Paris. It’s a big step up but we’re excited about him." |
By:
I’d wondered why he wasn’t in the Jockey Club as he was one that I’d thought could be an interesting outsider having not won this year.
He run well however and was going to be play at big odds. Now I see 16/1 !! And 25/1! I’d of expected 40/1 - 50/1 for the race yesterday so well under odds at 16/1 and 25’s is giving nothing away. |
By:
There’s 33/1 also. When Visindar was added I recall that he was unbeaten for Fabre and had a huge reputation, his odds were 14/1 when first added.
By:
Ponderado was beaten 4 1/2 by Lazy Griff beaten 1 1/2 by Lambourn at Chester.
Ponderado beaten 2 L by Midak over 1m 3f this year. Lazy Griff 80/1 60/1 Midak 10, 12, 14/1 !!! The lure of the unbeaten colt…. a word I dislike, “value” he is not at those odds. |
By:
I think I'll put a couple of £s on whatever Shoemark rides. I believe in KARMA!
By:
I seem to be on my own here, but I loved the way Pride of Arras won his 2 races. Beautiful mover, lovely head carriage and the one to beat imo. I wont have a bet as 5/1 doesn't tempt me, Ill just watch and enjoy.
By:
I think this could be a very average Derby with plenty of non stayers. Then there is the question of rain as very few have any soft ground form. So I have decided to have a dart at Tuscan Hills at the current three figures. He ended up well beaten in the Dante, albeit winner aside, they have finished in a heap. He seemed to travel into the race well enough, but then didn't see it out. I am willing to put that down to being outpaced rather than lack of stamina. If that is correct and he improves for the step up then he could outrun the odds. Might think of a small top up when the extra places arrive.
By:
I have to agree that rain could throw the race wide open and my selection wouldn't want too much of it
By:
The horse with the best form is undoubtedly Pride Of Aras; the Irish form is not as superior as The Dante. The fly in the ointment could be the rain, if the forecast is correct. Then, Lambourn and Damysus (Shoemark, hopefully) could be the chief beneficiary. Contrastingly, Delacroix and Ruling Court could have their stamina limitation stretched.
I think it's still touch and go concerning the participation of The Lion In Winter. There's still a strong whiff about a no-show, I think. |
By:
don't think the guineas winner will stay so waiting to see which ryan moore is on
By:
The ground is given as 'good' now so at best it is going to be slower than the ground for the trials, maybe quite a bit slower. I wouldn't bank on that Dante form being upheld. Different ground, and falsely run race.
