The two fatalities in quick succession were such a sad end to the day. Houblon was a real grand type,the rascal probably cost me a few quid down the years. The fact he was still really competitive at his age,told us everything about him. What an awful morning both yards will have......thoughts are with all connections. Reading the trainers thoughts on Hogans Height after the race raised an eyebrow,they were going to send him hunter chasing at the end of this season.Watched a fair few vids prior to yesterday,if there was ever going to be a horse to take to those fences,he was that horse.Jumped for fun and won pulling away under minimal assistance.No surprise if he,s back April time,despite being clobbered when re-assessed. Decent card at your gaff GI.....Are you going today ? Couple catch the eye in the marathon,watch the markets later if Im around,your lad looks to have a decent chance too,good luck with him. |

Thanks for the weather update.
The two to avoid finnished 4th/5th in last years renewal. Softer conditions will certainly suit the bottom one,both looked to be doing their best work late on behind old Harry. As for DC......Devon to Kelso is a long way for a duck egg,contrary to RP,thought he ran really well in the x-country at HQ,giving way late on,he,s a plodder. Wrap up warm and enjoy your day. |
