Dug it out under her favourite conditions, lovely mare. Couple in behind caught the eye,if it did come up real soft at HQ,might be worth a few replays. |

Yes Facts ...... you were on fire at last years Fez,expecting more of the same this year. Fab seems to pull them out of a bottomless hat, enough said. I know there is an awful lot of work that goes into the week, from every poster on here and other forums. Probably my worst festival, handicap wise, in living memory.Embarrasssingly poor to be fair, many were out with the washing miles from home,so work to be done based on that. Entries out, time to start sifting through. |

WP Fab with ASN .....Not the seen the race yet, can,t do him any harm for your GN bet.
Sent over some thoughts yesterday, which included WDW,Aintree might be on his agenda, who knows. Afternoon GI Thomas Darby runs shortly,R Johnson saying they will step him up,possibly Aintree. Still not convinced, can,t help thinking missing a trick going for this, form franked yesterday. Lets see how he gets on. Liked that ADB at newcastle,Alminar also interested me,both on the radar. |

By:
Cheers Noc, was very hopeful when I seen him entered for this, as 2m round Naas was the trainers prep for Seabass, Comanche Court, and Papillon.
Got the last a bit wrong, but overall very hopeful. |

that's my thinking just now sint, holding off on some bets as they would prefer nicer ground than soft.
|
|
By:
SINT / GI ....... Not getting restless are we ?
Still giving out day 1 last year as soft. The times of supreme / champion hurdle /arkle all within 8.56 secs standard, suggest otherwise. Two days later we get the thunderball on the new course ![]() I hope your both right, proper soft ground would be fine this end,I have my doubts. Hows that studying going GI ![]() Absence noted CVB .......message sent. |

horrible result that classic horse being pulled out, i feel ill
you boys looking at the ryannair chase at all? normal horrible race to bet on but been looking myself any thoughts from anyone not keen on min or frodon myself but can see the angle on both |
|
By:
I think Frodon at 6/1 is a cracking price currently. Why is Min 3/1? He is 9 now and is what he is but surely needs to be better than he has been round here to beat Frodon. A Plus Tard has all the potential to beat Frodon and his price is about right I guess, one thing nagging me about him, whilst impressive at the festival last year it was a handicap and sh!t one at that.
If it's soft or heavy then that might bring in the likes of Riders On The Storm and others, but on decent ground I struggle to see past Frodon and A Plus Tard. |
|
By:
fair play mac but personally frodon has disappointed this season and his last run confirmed he isn't as good as he was and i just wonder if they can get him back after a tough campaign last season. he was suffering from ulcers so maybe he can come back but he'll need too.
riders on the storm is difficult to analyse with confidence but i've never had that moore horse on my mind and i think he would of turned him over so that just doesn't cut it for me a plus tard is at least progressive and as much as you can pick holes in him i still like him but he isn't a world beater that is clear to me i'm with you on min my friend who i talk to about form thinks i'm mad but i've had a decent dig on saint calvados at what i believe to be a massive price nrnb ew, yes you can argue his ability but for me he took a massive step forward last time and this season tbh off a high mark at his first step up in trip last time, anyway i just like him this seasonand is a different creature to the one i knew and he goes well off the back of a break. he is young and progressive and i make him nearer 10/1 so am happy to accommodate a decent wager . anyway i know you can pick on him ability wise but since he has been held up and up in trip i like his progression and the odds are generous imo i just don't see him with a massive amount to find against these horses, yes he'll need to come forward again to compete but i think he can. i forgave him his run against defi as it may of come to soon after a decent run first time and he likes a break between races as he showed last time in a tight finish but it was still another step forward anyway no doubt finish out the back of the telly but i'll take my chances in race that might cut up (queue an 18 runner stampede) |
|
By:
Yes, entirely possible that Frodon might not be the same after last season, some tough races he had. My take, is that he's being trained with one race in mind all season. You'll be praying the wet weather stays around for St Calvados, not a mad bet if he gets his ground. gl.

I’m with Mac, A Plus Tard or Frodon all day long for me. I bet APT for this way last March at 25’s, but cashed out/laid off in Dec, along with 90% of my AP bets (turned out to be a very wise move). Still got him in a few perms 20’s down to 4’s. I’m very keen.
Frodon was brutal early doors, but a lot more like it last time, and I’m close to adding him NRNB, as he surely can’t drift. I also like Politologue, but he looks to be going Champion Chase. I’m the same, no interest in Min, but Calvados is an interesting shout, good luck Harry |

Like several of the other grade 1 races, open look as they stand right now.
Just the sort of race I like, the front 3 make the market, all of them have question marks . As you say, hard to work out who intends to run. Not convinced last years renewal could be described as vintage, this looks much stronger. The one I like Harry is twice the price of SC. We can all afford a few bullets at those kind of prices. All about the ground,at least we have the Golden Miller for a scooby,as we head onto the new course. |
