I just watched the race again noc, yes he did steam home at the end, much like Haydock. He seemed to get tapped for toe during the race, maybe a longer trip for him.

Stolen Silver 1pt 50/1 365 NRNB Morning GI Always difficult with the novices,his form with chantry house / edwardstone etc entitles him to an entry. You may well be right re distance,the other factor might be ground,like to see him again with some genuine soft in the going description. Already had wind surgery,tongue tie and the hood,anything but straight forward. But he does have an engine,fast pace always assured in the day 1 opener,we saw in last years renewal how few really got into it after the last,he will be finnishing better than some. Long way to go for all of them,he looks a little too big compared to a few ahead of him. Whatever happens,with a decent yard,the type that are always interesting to follow. He might be quirky,I like him. Anything stand out for you ? |

 The other angle might be last years supreme renewal,the stable had the well fancied Al Dancer. Both greys,same ownership,AD won the re-arranged betfair,he ran no sort of race in the supreme. Plenty guesswork,did he leave his race behind that day, just a month before the supreme ? When Twister gets bullish,I worry,hopefully Silver gets the nod under the radar. Al Dancer is an interesting horse,his form with headgear on bears close inspection,are they waiting ? Unless we get rain very close to the 10th,unlikely it will be proper soft,part of the puzzle. |

He does tick plenty boxes in the Eider,hopefully with the claimer you suggest,working mans price. Remiluc ...... crossed wires,my fault  More about his run in the county couple years back,and who beat him. Definitely worth considering that bf sp,especially at the big festivals,outside front of the market. Tintangle was 3rd to Eglantine at 66/1,he was 260 on here,and 21 to place,some difference. Pretty sure it was CVB who alluded to a similar strategy at a previous cheltenham,backing several horses in the same race,at bf odds,I can see the attraction. I follow a similar path in the handicaps especially,the tote pools are also strong,as you know. Looking forward to those entries,I see they have one more pertemps qualifier over the water wednesday.Got a little cut-off with my "national horse",meant to add he,s already qualified for the pertemps final,more about him nearer the day. |
