The reason to take on a short priced fav is the potential for a jumping mistake. The fences are there to be jumped.

nice one roo.
Mullins and all these fallers, he ain't having it all his way at Cheltenham that's for sure. One firm was quoting 11/8 for 9 winners or more a couple of weeks back. I can't tell you how much I would have laid that for had there been a proper market on here. |
|
By:
Thanks Sint and agree
Bizarre in extreme that however unlucky Black Hercules may have looked Lads have him at 11/4 for NH Chase. Only one I wouldn't back against is Douvan, even thinking of throwing a couple of quid at MTOY for Churdle NRNB. |
|
By:
yep, bookies have no shame, shortening a faller.
Only one I would not bet against is Faugheen. He looks the most unopposable to me. Am considering backing Hargam in the w/o market but only if the ground comes up Good. |

To be fair,Mullins only needs a couple of sleepers in races 3 and 7, we can all pile into the Willie Wonga 7 timer AT 61/1,safe in the knowledge that its money for old rope.
I have tickets for the tuesday and am becoming increasingly concerned, should my beast of burden hose up in the 5-15,narrowly upsetting willies final leg, that there will be no money left in the ring. I have told mrs noc to bring plenty of knitting and a good book, binoculars will not be required as the winning distances will be huge, the thermal hairnet and bloomers not needed, as we are going to stay in the rolls all afternoon, listening to tannoy. Still going mind ![]() |

I have this annoying .06 in my P&L and that kind of non round number irritates me haha
![]() She's a long shot for sure and I backed her on here at 75.0. Reasoning being she's better than her mark, I make her a 126 for her 2nd over c&d behind Flute Bowl in Dec where she lost some lengths drifting right towards the rail on the run in. That makes her no 33/1 shot so had to back on a value grounds. |
