totally disagree - Large Action/Flakey Dove have the same form as many of the others going into the race - he went on to greatness thats the point of the Betfair hurdle its a good indicator of potential ... with the prospect of a full field, there will be one or two that may be worth following in the season ahead - in either the handicap or Supreme or maybe a Champion hurdle? (not sure of CH though!)  ... but probably worth saving that judgement til after the race...

btw This is a marked improvement from last weeks race at Sandown...

Seedling form was franked by SOME PLAN winning on Sunday... won by 9 lengths - didnt watch the race though - Having said that Calipto beat him 10 lengths last season both were on 11-2 and only 1lb difference now but having said that I did have a dabble at 16s after his form franked on Sunday...

Trainer form is a big worry with Seedling.

^ indeed, been pretty poor for a few weeks now, would need to see some winners before backing any of his.

No idea on running plans but at the prices the only one to half interest me in a poor renewal is Cheltenian at around 40/1.

I'd be a bit disappointed if they gave up chasing already with Cheltenian.

If Chieftain's Choice and Ballybolly make the lineup they will do nicely , could Ryan Hatch ride Ballybolly and do back to back betfairs off 10-03 after Splash of Ginge last year ⚡️

calipto is ridiculously short.  I know he's had a breathing op and improved 20-25 lbs from it's last run, but this race is a lottery.  I'd back all the outsiders here

If he has genuinely improved 20-25lbs then he should be about 1/10.Shocked
By:

When: 04 Feb 15 17:51
not necessarily.  other horses which have not been seen for a while could have improved another 10-20lbs.  dangerous race.

Cheltenian runs - he was out to 150 on here this morning with nothing on the lay side so assumed he was a n/r. Wish I'd been brave.Cry

Sleepy Haven looks overpriced to me. Will love the ground and hopefully a fast pace will be set.

Anyone on here also like Arzal?  I've gone in again at 33s, 5 places, BOG... from franked by Dusk Lark this aft... first time tongue tie could be helpful... right age... trainer had a winner recently... what's not to like? Plain

Shocked to see Wicklow Brave at 33-1. Well overpriced imo. Done nothing this season but re-watch the supreme two out and he's travelling like a dream. Paid for the price of going after the winner and got tired towards the end. Only a couple of lenghts behind Vaiteux whos rated 154, Wicklow running of 140. Hopefully Willie as him A1 after his dissapointing runs in the autumn

colpaul - I've taken the 33's 5 places on Arzal.  7lb claimer will help the weight too and very unexposed.  Still think they've all got Calipto to beat at the weights though.

got on arzal too (and sign of victory)  hopefully calipto will break a leg, because if he is anything near last years form, he'll screw me over

Very helpful of you. They are not to be trusted ! last time my mate got his stake back from a horse balloted out so I went to collect mine only to be told it hadnt ! A load of hassle on the phones only to be told that it had, Eventually got it but now I like to find out for myself just incase they try it on.

Baradari is a loser antepost mate
would have easily got in race so cannot have been balloted out

u done yr cash.  no point backing antepost these days .  if you want to back calipto at 5-1 you could prob get 10-1 in running.  my tactics in this race are backing 5 outsiders at 15s and more. the backing the second fav and fav in running at double figures.  I hardly ever lose this way

I have already backed Vasco Du Ronceray at 50/1 last month so i was hoping jacob would be riding, sadly Nico is banned or he could had taken 3lbs off. But you never know, on the day the top 1 maybe a non runner and Barry G can jump ship. Tongue Out

Had a little bit on Balleybolley @25/1 today hoping they have been messing with him most of the season, even if they have not he is certainly much better than his current rating and entered in 2 races at the festival.

ATR around lunchtime indicated that Peter Carberry would be on Vasco with a 3lb claim. I thought 28s with B365 ew 1st 5 was very fair. It's 50 on here with nothing to lay.

segal put baradari up ante post before the ascot win,so forcing your hand if you followed the horse(had small ew myself) Sad

funny enough he went against the beast at ascot when he won.

PINE CREEK for me, still think Trainer and his horses are underbet in the big races.  Took 34/1 on Betfair yesterday, and still 24/1 available tonight.

GI MAC.......I see the trainer of the donkey you backed last year has another, with similar profile.Same race at Aintree early season, was hoping for claimer on board, worth second glance if its on.

been looking at him Noc, the drop of 7lb since his last run seems quite generous.

That moment when you wish you had more in your account!

Funny thing is I put this up on my shortlist above and had a few bits at 25+ before seeing it drift to 40+ and worrying was a non-runner...
