Nice to see the sonic youngsters get the Christmas money for connections this week

A cynic might suggest they've been well placed to win but of course that would be cynical wouldn't it. |

anyone could tell those pups where pacy but they are also dodgers, they just trapped clear and got on with it,put a dog in front of them and they hang the race up.

You aren't seriously suggesting that these three very heavily bet sonic dogs this week was honest training. Spare me garry I have an IQ in double figures. The last time Tighe was allowed three runners in the same race only one of them completed the course such was the disgraceful way they were KO'd. I note the track have never allowed that to occur again. The only action they have ever taken against him
Gartcloss Spence - now there's the King of dodgers at the track |
By:
young pups going straight on the bunny are going to find time, not saying the trainers a saint but i think they have just improved for getting on the bunny, gatrcloss spence a forecast players dream.
By:
They are the same litter ...King Elvis/Sonic Spur. They are Sept 2021 . I called them youngsters but they certainly aren't pups. None of what you say stacks up garry. Their runs and trials aren't littered with short distance wins or defeats or awkward as would be the norm for dodgers. Just three (MORE) jobs this week pure and simple
By:
trust me i do this every day.they are all dodgers, the sonic jupiter has a waited comment in trials, sonic moon has slowed a few races when hitting the front already.sonic mercury the exact same
By:
Apologies garry but I only trust what my eyes/knowledge tells me

If you've been galloped up and down a field or in the jacuzzi all morning (as seems to be popular with a few) then you are bound to get tired in the latter stages of a race

Newcastle Tuesday 21st November
9.11 race Trap 1 Ballymac Fearne huge drifter on betfair and you guessed how it was going to run prior to the race. Started last , never got touched throughout the race finished last. And all because it was bet in the afternoon by some poor buggar that fancied it so they knew they would get easy money laying it come the race. |

Tonight's Newcastle 7.26 should be entertaining.
Sonic Moon getting a six yard pull with Links Fusilier. Answers on a postcard |
By:
What will John Gotti do
By:
i would expect sonic moon to ruin 2 again here,2 led it on 9th nov when sonic moon got to the front and hung the race up for darbys fame,
By:
Sonic moon missed the break badly tonight then ran a monster race to win. You say you do this all the time garry but what you forget is that sonic moon wouldn't have tried on the 9th November so the run doesn't count for anything. Clean runs bring a dog on as has been proven on many occasions from this trainer and again tonight. Such a shame as this man clearly knows his onions. Could be a top trainer if he was straight

Strange entries on card saturday afternoon.Dogs reappearing after long breaks (reserves). No marks on cards for 3-4 months and going from A4 to A8 after break, and bolting in. Looks like they are short of dogs as Sunderland form cropping up . Less racing and regular track form is essential for punters.
By:
been a few IT races with sunders lately
By:
RP isn't showing them but trials were on the official card for midtown hope etc
By:
Newcastle are grossly short of dogs to fulfil their obligation . That's a small part of the reason that absolutely anything goes at the track and no trainer has been sacked .If only Entain knew what they were getting themselves into considering going to bed with this shower.

What happened to that commentator up there ?

I always thought the commentators name was Mark.

Mark Cranston used to commentate, mostly at Sunderland, but did a stint at Brough.

Nice job yesterday from William Finley with the PUP
15/12 Itsallluckbill MISSED BREAK then blew them away winning over eight lengths in 29.45 30/11 best qualifying trial and most recent run 30.12 Off for two weeks, probably private trial then easy money. They got fortunate he missed the break badly otherwise he'd have won the length of the straight. Two more pups on today for Finley . Same age but only one(Tee Tee Jet-the litter brother to the above). Be interesting to map the progress. Don't tell me Finlay thinks he's going to put as many by as the Teflon Don (Tighe). |
By:
Fair play to W Finley. Both pups ran well in the final race with Tee Tee Jet winning .
Newcastle management really mucked up not sacking Tighe when they should have as it's ruined what used to be a terrific track up there. |

Adelante Steel beaten 17 (yes SEVENTEEN lengths) perhaps lost one length in running -No RETRIAL - No finished lame comment - trainer P Rutherford wins race with other runner which had an obvious chance as Ballygibbon Bus was well handicapped today.
Talk about making sure your other one doesn't win it when you are backing one. Just typifies everything about the track and management. It was even beaten three lengths by the clear and obviously lame Foyle Bridge. A dreadful advert for greyhound racing |
By:
Merry Christmas Paul Singlewood... must have got good money out of that one
4.43 Newcastle Minnies Torov an absolutely diabolical run . Beaten 10-15 lengths (didn't even lose a length in running)after being well bet into 6/4 in the morning drifted to 5/2 on here. Obviously not the kennel money just some poor punter betting a no good one again. That dog will be sore in the morning Anything goes at the circus You've got to laugh . I think two trainers have left recently Neil Black and Patrick Kennedy. Both good quality solid straight trainers . You couldn't make this up if you tried |
By:
ps IF it finished lame I'll retract the above comment
By:
Minies Torov didn't finish lame . Beaten 12 1/2 lengths untouched . Kindest thing to do would be to close that track down

You make your own mind up everybody?
Above is the recent form of SCOTCH STORM trained by HARRY BURTON with finishing times. Number two at the track only behind the untouchable Teflon Tighe. First try today and obviously an SP job as they couldn't have got their money on otherwise Prior to today it's five most recent runs resulted in four last places and a fifth beaten cumulatively fifty three lengths... yes an average of over ten lengths each race. Makes all today. That would have been a red light at any independent I ever knew... and this is supposed to be under the rules of racing! Does anybody know of a track/management in the UK that would have allowed this to occur? I certainly don't. |
