Yeah thought the run style meant that he would keep qualifying.
He actually needed to break badly each time so that he would not get bumped early and would come through dogs. Stan James certainly still respect him as 40/1 about a retired dog is a little on the conservative side. |

Ballyodyle Honey done 29:61 and Skywalker Rory 29:62
shows how good his trial was, absolutely stunning, unreal to the 3rd bend |

Crowded on run-up and Priceless Brandy only a neck slower than Clares Rocket last Saturday. Surprised Sober Call not quoted
|
|
By:
They are not quoting half the promising dogs as no bookmaker has a trader worth an iota to assess them, including the self important Powers one.
Some lovely dogs running again on Saturday night. |
|

Heard Droopys Buick going for a competition in Ireland so if he likes the Irish air, decent chance he'll go for the Irish Derby. 365 over-cautious quoting 16/1 but B*yles more like it at 33/1
|
|
By:
So you took 33/1 on a whim that a dog might like Irish air ?

C'mon which bookmaker will take the bull by the horns and sort this shambles of a market out?
The Champion Stakes starts Saturday night and by this stage we must have seen at least 80% (probably even higher) of those likely to enter around Shelbourne be it races or trials but the amount of dogs not quoted is barely believable. |
|
By:
Spoils I see have added a fair few dogs that are not showing up on oddschecker (which is clearly as fkin useless as ever)
|
|
By:
Nearly every site is deteriorating now that clicks and heavy advertising are accounting for such a large part of the business. RP is a disaster and oddschecker have little reason to concern themselves with markets that will generate very little new revenue from new accounts.

Had my first bets on the Derby yesterday, took all the 75 and 70 on here and 66/1 off course about Coolavanny Wendy.
I was really impressed with how he ran last week in defeat after turning right from 4 and into the 5 dog, thought he ran a cracker to run down Swords Ace to 2L. He is the type of dog i love backing outright in the Derby. A wide seed, is the perfect age, has only ran in top class races, has the early to lead around but can win / qualify from behind as well. I had to play him yesterday as i am expecting a big run tonight, he gets loose early and i think he will do a big clock. |

Major pointers to the Irish Derby, hotting up soon, at Shelbourne tonight. Mainly hoping Clares Rocket scorches round. Same heat, looking for decent runs by Lenson Sanchez and Droopys Buick. Not totally convinced with Ballydoyle Honey and Tyrur Van Gaal at the moment
Good luck! |

ROCKET 29.19

If Rocket keeps trapping like that forget about the Derby as a competition, looks like him and runs as good as he did (yep PF), he would have blown the clock to pieces tonight had the track been running fast.
The dog is an utter tool |

Delighted with 12/1 Clares Rocket. Other big bet 14/1 Droopys Roddick

There was a pretty stunning qualifying trial last night, 28:23 Good News (Definite Opinion x Pippy), a Nov 14

|
By:
more than likley going for the sales in 3 weeks, what do you think it will go for
|
|
By:
Could go for anything you'd think, his dogs do seem to be well schooled by the time they qualify / hit the track though
|
|
By:
yes there will be plenty with very little left in the tank

By:
Just seen the Clares Rocket vid. 3.32 split, WHOOSH!

At the moment and I think it will be final I have:
Layed a bet 200 at 10 Clares Rocket Last week quickly revised that position and changed it at 8s and 7s (I feel fkin dirty and not in a good way) Coolavanny Wendy and Droopys Smasher the other 2 Let's go to war, it's a wide open Derby if you take Rocket out of it, Duke since he changed to Curly looks a different beast but we will see over 6 rounds, I would not begrudge Paul and Curly (best trainer in the country it) |
|
By:
At the moment Case he does look fantastic bury you know as well as I do 1 missed break and you can no gonzo. You should see the bets we got on up the road in the boozer from SPK last week to turn him into a good winner, again I feel dirty but I will hold my hands up as per staying I got him totally wrong
|

I will be keeping a Beady eye out for your Early Round cards Pf

I tell ya this, Clares Rocket has brought a brilliant dimension to this Derby as so many regulars and good judges think it's a forgone conclusion, even i made sure i ran for cover and made the dog a winner. I still think he is beatable though, it'll be some Derby. The bitch Droopys Samasher will be a sensation at some stage, perhaps the Derby is too soon but she is a machine
|
|
By:
You may have been excited if you was on Clares at 50/1 Case but I'm beaming ear to ear with 12's!
