Wotsnewoody?  Are you having a laugh?
Anyway,.......

3 questions for all you Irish Derby “connoiseurs” about this year’s event.
1    Which previous winning trainer, involved again this year, was once a contract trainer at Brough Park?
2    Which greyhound can be said to have a co-incidental connection with the late, great Bill Shankly – indeed, the dog might well be named after him?
3    Where is the balance in a draw system which allows for three wide runners in Heat 1 and NONE in Heats 4 and 8?  Doesn’t make any sense to me.

1-might be wrong but i think you may be thinking of (big mick o'donovan, cashel)
2-no idea
3-no balance, but the best way if you ask me

yep - wd mesi, 1.  in the early 80's Mick was at Brough Park.  3.  You're probably right but it just doesn't seem right to have a railer in trap 6 - ever.  2.  Glenbuck Bill in Heat 6.  Bill Shankly was born and brought up in the mining village of Glenbuck in East Ayrshire, Scotland.

There have been two withdrawals from tonight’s heats of the **** Irish Derby and one reserve will come in.

Skip Glory has been withdrawn from Heat 7 but no reserve is available for this race.

Skilful Legend is has been withdrawn from Heat 12 and will be replaced by reserve Footfield Flash.

Clouseau, if any of your first three finish in the first three, I'll donate a fiver to the RGT.  Kina has no win in her last four, Lassie can win but knocked over last time here - not good, Hagler has a chance courtesy of being sole wide, Doctor has a chance for the same reason - I'll donate another fiver.
I think my tenner is safe but will happily cough up if one of yours gets lucky.

Just stick up your picks imo rather than some pathetic attempt to pull apart someone else who has put up some picks imo...

One good thing,i seen pf drop a score in the bucket on the way in to the don derby night so theyre still well in front even if he has a mare tonight and you get to keep your tenner.

What the heck. I know i said not playing heats but changed my mind. It is the Irish Derby, after all!

9.13 Power seem to be in the know Tynwald Rodney has lost a leg if their 9/1 can be believed. 125% over-round so no palp. Must be a decent each-way bet, with every chance of collecting the place money, at least?

8.13 Also big in my book 12/1 Affane Scolari, each-way. Not good the magic sign go a stand-out price on this though, (usually tight as a fishes b*m), what do they know?

9.28 7/1 Lodgefield Todd and 8/1 Burgess Four against the field in a very competitive heat

10.13 Against Farloe Blitz, still dont think he'll stay. 5/1 Country Legend and 10/1 Lenson Walcott

Main bet 4.77/1 double Ballymac Matt (9.43) and Coolavanny **** (9.58), both hold obvious chances

If it all goes pear-shaped, might try and get out on 4/1 Cunning Barney in the lucky last

Good luck!
