Just popped into the market to have a quick glance.

How many in betfair's exchange list are injured?  fook me, irishone must be creaming his pants counting the ones that are not gonna turn up.  Think i might swerve this cack comp. Laugh DevilWink the sharks and pf are out there circling.

Has the winner been added yet irish?  Devil  What a layers paradise this market is! Laugh

How many english are gonna turn up, might need to bring their chemists with them tho Laugh

think i heard after hills 250k success story, yes 250k..thats right 250k, they might think about sponsoring englands little brothers race (the irish derby) Devil and be doing a few win and you're in races along with a first round where only 2 qualify.  Would really roflmfao if that happened.  Throw in a extra midweek round for good measure. Laugh and get the bowser over to complete the lotto

gonna take out some woody insurance Wink and price up after pf's write up! Laugh Cool

Had only backed two so far, Nidge (not right at present) and Blaze (unlikely to race again). Yes Lanza, question marks over dogs like Bearatipp, B*ylesports Jet, Quietly, Sidarian Vega etc, so keeping my powder dry now 'til nearer the time

Was doing some work on this the last 2 days, i then realise only 365, Spoils and Sportsbook have it priced along with the exchange and they literally have f all dogs quoted, of those quoted there is a hell of a lot currently injured and some so badly injured they're a million to turn up Plain ffs ya useless divs start quoting dogs from these puppy comps that have been ran around Tralee, Kilkenny, Clonmel etc................................

no emails seemed to get answered.  Live chat was hit or miss....best bet... get on twitter and ask the helpdesk. (but ask for exchange, or they'l end up on the sportsbook and sportsbook alone)

Wonder why Power pushed Blake out. Everything okay?

Twitter is for homosexuals and women Plain

Powers never pushed out Blake, they've only opened their market. They have gone for some more realistic prices than the other jockstraps. Blake has loads against him this year and will be 42 months come the final so will have to be the oldest winner in the last 12 years (College Causeway was 41 months) at least and I would guess a loot more on top of that, also no dog has defended the Irish Derby since the 1950s, not sure if a dog has even come close to be honest.

Wonder if trip and track would suit Eden The Kid?  I would have thought conns. might be considering it.  Ted's last wouldn't go - Charlie not interested.  Can't see Quattro travelling - a long hard slog for the team and they aren't exactly fit enough for a long slog themselves. Very little else from the Derby looks even a little likely other than the Irish staying types like Maverik.

Anyone got a clue if Yolo and Hoff might have a tilt?
By:
lanza
When: 01 Jul 15 18:12
someone asking for some on hoff....thought yolo was injured?.  priced those added up to 80% earlier but really cant be fooked.

not sure eden will go,  heard slight rumors about level playing field.  Dont like twitter myself but it was way better than anything else i found in getting dogs added to the derby betting.

When does it actually start. Isnt tonight's trial stakes featuring Blake a bit premature?

I suppose everyone will know about him now after they reported Saturday nights trial. I have been backing Secreto for the Derby @ 40, 33s and 25s, usually hate going on Tralee form but he looked awesome around there and connections where not shy in comparing him to some greats. Have been more than happy with his 2 trials around Shelbourne and think there is still value to be had in his price. He was very hit or miss at boxes in Tralee but can do it both ways, the 550y run up should suit him and the trip should be perfect.

He is one of only two dogs that I have on my mind for this years Derby as it stands.

Amazing Dude @ 50/1 is my 2nd bet, I am not sure he will see out the 550y (sure I was the same when backing Laughil Blake last year) but he will be hard led and will be as good as anything down the back in the Derby. His form is very similar to that of Laughil Blake's this time last year, actually a bit better you could argue as he has proven race form around Shelbourne.

Secreto @ 40s, 33s and 25s
Amazing Dude @ 50s

I will be playing one more at big prices e/w, think he is the e/w bet of the Derby but will wait until he trials next (or the price starts to evaporate which it surely will eventually

Offshore Bound @ 66/1 e/w is my other bet, he just looks one of those runners that'll be near impossible to knock out. He wants to be drawn rails but has already shown he can overcome bad draws and still finish in the first 3 (has never been out of the 3 in his career to date). The dog has huge pace down the back and stays on well. I do find it hard to see him actually winning a Derby final unless there is plenty of trouble up front for him, or he takes some bizarre flier and manages to turn front rank but the e/w part of the bet looks huge value to me.

Secreto @ 40s, 33s and 25s
Amazing Dude @ 50s
Offshore Bound e/w @ 66s
Laughil Blake (wins me a bit over a bag on here, cannot remember doing the bet, think it was a drunk one in Slatts after SPK one night Blush)

Just been looking at the scores on the doors and not happy. Blake, Nidge, B*ylesports Jet, Sanchez all under a cloud and doubt very much they will even take part? Plus seems I've lost Hoffman already, too! Sad. Leaves me very little but dont really fancy anything. Could like last night's Tipperary Cup winner Black Tom but not even quoted Plain. So, all i really got is Ballymac Matt and Country Legend. £20 total invested, so far

English Derby favourite Farloe Blitz continued his preparations for the **** Derby with a brilliant 28.18 trial effort at Shelbourne on Saturday night prior to racing.

Flashing from traps, posting a 1.91 split, the Owen McKenna trained star moved fluently throughout and certainly stayed on better than in his previous trial.
By:

When: 09 Aug 15 15:20
Thanks Frank. We know Blitz extremely fast and i still fancy him for next year's English Derby (only a dot on the horizon admittedly), but pretty sure he wont be staying 503m

Small interests in three 100/1 shots

Dont know the situation regarding injuries (PF still got a bee in his bonnet and not talking to me - not crucial though at my small stakes), but topped up Country Legend each-way. Stays, can come away sometimes and the event might not take as much winning as normal this year

Now Tynwald Bish out of the Dundalk Sprint he might be having a crack at Shelbourne, so 100/1 for an Engish Derby runner-up seems decent. Nippy, could get clear of trouble and plug on okay. Another Dundalk casualty Blue Cafu might be nice at the same price

Black Tom did a slow trial but 80/1 okay on Tipperary Cup run

Not sure what's happening with Rural Hawaii and Morning Music was always liable to clock a time for a stayer in trial but missed the 66/1 Plain
