yep, I thought he ran on strong too, I think some thought him a superstar because he won an A5 first time out in a rocket time in April and he was sold for big sum. does look a decent animal but so many decent animals atm

I still think he will turn out very good but as you said so many good ones around at the moment

Fraser would have had him spot on for the a5.

12/1 Milldean Tally is an insult in my opinion, with the short run to the bend she could easily go around in front on the rail (can see her outtrapping George and led Millie in Oaks final) and they would have some job to come from behind her

is 6/4 fair on the panther?

Not the best draw, short run to the bend, no i'd rather be against him at that price
By:
Swayne
When: 09 Jul 12 14:00
with that draw (& partic with Kingo inside Panther) I'd think both Milldean's at c 3/1 more appropriate!

Thought the two bitches were over priced here, couldn't have stolen money on George

Maasive price on Tally.

Trouble is getting the price.

No chance on line and the shops will likely take a look at you and offer you much less than you want.

Well, seems Tally right there with Panther on trial times, so good luck all. I'm more eager just for a big run Panther with Irish Derby in mind

He looks about the right price to me on his running this year, nice draw though, Tally was double the price i had her in at so it's a no brainer. I think on everything i've seen this year she has the leading off George around the bend (although it's a short run up) and we know she can lead Millie around. If she goes around in front it would take some run to beat her as she will be even better at 550y than 525y in my opinion.
By:
Bassanio
When: 09 Jul 12 22:46
Panther will have to do some running to clear Kingo with that run to the bend. He looks to have as bad a draw as you could imagine.

Sponsors **** quoted Milldean Tally as a 12-1 outsider immediately after the draw was made on Monday morning but they have had a huge response and have had to cut the Oaks winner to 10-1, then 8-1 and now 6-1.

Meanwhile Milldean Panther has eased from 6-4 out to 7-4 and Quail Hollow’s price has also contracted from 5-1 into 9-2.

****’ spokesman Leon Blanche said: “We have had a lot of support for Milldean Tally. In contrast we can’t give away Razldazl George while there is nothing for Milldean Panther but there is good interest in Quail Hollow.

They now bet: 7-4 Milldean Panther; 4 Razldazl George, Kingo; 9-2 Quail Hollow; 6 Milldean Tally; 9 Cabra Millie.

Laugh might be something to do with the bizarre price you quoted, i see they go 5s now

As it stands, 7/4 Panther looking good now. Would strongly fancy him to come through against these. Hope so for my Derby prospects anyway! Happy

He really needs to trap, short run up and stuck out in 6 he has to be taken on at the price in my opinion

Unless you plan on laying your bet off Woody don't worry about Dundalk in regards to the Derby, it has no bearing on it whatsoever

Okay PF, just like to see Panther run well as i think he will have harder races in the Derby

interesting to hear Fortune spoilsports radio interview couple of days back saying how everything was against Panther but still picking him to win, I see similar in todays IGB article. me thinks he'd select Panther even if he was blindfolded. Im on Tally at 12's but on draw, + even though George is not super early at moment, something in back of my mind is saying Ill be kicking myself if he goes off 5-1 + and gets a clear. still would lay Panther all day at those prices with draw, fitness and trapping question marks against proper dogs(&bitches)

It's mad ain't it, go on and on about all the negatives for the short priced favourite and then still go for him Confused

George is overpriced in my opinion, i made him 4s to 100%

Looking at the sectionals Tally must have absolutely walked out, 4.01 sectional only George was worse and the winner done 3.78

Fair play Murray is having a great year with Quail Hollow and Subway Ruth

Not seen the race yet but Panther beaten nearly 5 lengths. May have no bearing on the Derby, as PF says but wouldnt be surprised if he eases slightly in the betting

The Panther who is best priced at 7/1 with a couple of the shops is a joke... when you see ballymac vic at almost 3 times bigger then the panthers price is put in Perspective...as i said in a past post i will hold back until the 1st round is over and wait for any slip ups from the shops...Wink

i think as of now this is a good strategy frank, I dont think anything deserves to be less than 16/1 for the Derby, given the breadth of talent and question marks over some, partic in early department
By:

Have to question my strategy when it comes to Derbies. Often get big ante-post prices but doesnt usually pay off on the final result, i just cant help myself! Laugh. Take the English Derby. Taylors Sky would have been very big but never seems to happen for me, counting my blessings with the break-even Blonde Snapper. To coin a PF phrase, thrown quite a few darts at this year's Irish Derby already, like 50/1 Piercestown Sand, but think i need to find some will-power from someone and take a leaf out of your book in future Frank. Even regarding next year's English Derby got 33/1 and 50/1 Ballymac Eske, but really need start holding my fire! Plain
By:

When: 13 Jul 12 14:01
eske is a proper power tool but I'd be worried a dog that fast potentially getting injured on some of the **** Uk tracks over next 10 months, think he's a top top hound but would not back him at 100/1 with so far to go

With respect my friend, you could be skating on thin ice if you was prepared to lay Eske at 100/1 though
