P.F DONT LEAVE IT A THAT// DURING the week i placed  e30 bet at Cattrick on a 4/1 shot ' number only]..PP were offering double the odds on all 4/1 SP  bets at cattrick that day..i was very happy when my horse won and 15mins later i went up to collect  my winnings only to be told that i placed my bet on the 2.50 at cattrick instead of the 2.40 at cattrick and the casher handed me back my e30 as a non/runner...i explained to her that it was Obvious as the next cattrick race had/nt yet taken place that i put down the wrong race time in error...but to no avail..i ended up calling the PP help line and explained what had occured..the guy then ring the casher and i got my E270...WHILE your case is different i would explain to the helpline your situation i personally found them very fair...the number is P.P HELPLINE 019051040 ..  GOODLUCK M8

Unfortunately he has no chance and it is a waste of a call frank.

There will be plenty of people that have backed dogs that are not running and there money is gone. This is a similar case only that the firm knew he was a non runner and suckered him and possibly others into the bet. It is immoral what they have done and put more correctly, it stinks. However it was not done by a cashier in the shop. It was done by a trader and may well have been sanctioned by the head of racing or greyhound racing.

It would be much more satisfying to have their name in the paper for this just to embarrass them, but which paper. There is no chance the Racing Post would report it and especially not Fortune. IGB will not publish it because again Fortune would never mention it. So where are the options?

Sorry lads just been watching Ted (Ted is a legend Laugh)

No i won't be looking for anything back, it's wasn't that much anyway and it don't matter but most of all they actually have not broke any ante post rules.

What they did in my opinion is morally or ethically wrong. They obviously knew he was out of the Derby as that morning they pushed him out to 50/1 (doubled in price) when 25/1 was the biggest anywhere else. Give it an hour or two and then they took him out of their betting altogether. I cannot prove that but you can all draw your own conclusions from the evidence that i've put forward.

As Bassanio also said it would be pointless me writing a letter about it to the RP or anyone else as none of those gravy trainers would bother their balls printing it and i'd basically be pissing against the wind.

I only bothered posting about it as i've long felt they are a horrible vile firm and i wanted others to know.

Anyway time to concentrate on the Derby and time to get stuck into the hard work after the draw tomorrow.

DERBY FIGURE COULD FINISH AT 132 AND 22 HEATS
29/07/2012
A rush of entries on Saturday night brought the Ladbrokes Irish Derby list to 136 on Saturday night and the likelihood is that there will be twenty-two first round heats spread over Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday nights.

A number of Derby dogs were in action on Saturday night while others were subject to Sunday veterinary examinations and a few late defections are anticipated.

The final list was boosted by multiple entries from the Fahy, Ruth and Hennessy kennels, some thirty in all, and these included some of the major fancies for the classic.

Among the big names entered on Saturday were the reigning champion Razldazl George and his fleet of kennel companions, the 2010 1-2 of Tyrur McGuigan and  Tyrur Big Mike, Scottish Derby winner Barefoot Allstar and Produce Stakes finalist Paradise Martini.

The draw will be made at 11 am today (Monday 30th July) in the Oaks Suite at Shelbourne and all are welcome to attend.

Milldean Panther will NOT be a runner in the Ladbrokes Irish Derby which commences at Shelbourne Park on Wednesday night.
Apparently the Forums and the Tweets have been predicting that the Panther will be in the draw on Monday but such thinking is way off line.
Clive Francis, joint owner of the dog, confirmed yesterday that there will be no Derby challenge for the dog but said that a statement will be issued on Monday clarifying the current situation with the Shelbourne 525 yard record holder.

If I knew a dog wasn't running, I'd put up the best price about him too. Thats what bookies do. You have taken plenty of big prices on dogs before PF that shouldn't have been that price in the first place. It's the ups and downs of ante-post betting PF so you need to stop whinging and get over it. Its happened to most of us on here unfortunately.

Well, my team has been decimated. No sign of Milldean Panther, Piercestown Sand, Bubbly Phoenix and Judicial Ruling, probably Coolavanny Imp wont be running either, dont see how it can run in the Derby when it's currently going well in the Dundalk Sprint. Well and truly done my dough, worst year ever for me, makes you want to give up sometimes.

Only Ballymac Vic may save me now. Power of God shows a profit but hard job, with money back Razldazl George. Bolt, Cain, Bugatti, JFK would get most back.

Noticed an English raider, well used to be trained by Dean Childs over here last i heard, Deanridge Viking, ex-Pennys Viking. Think he ran in the Irish Derby last year but not seen out in England since finishing last when fav in the 2nd round of the English Derby, early May

It's hardly surprising you're defending them COM but you're entitled to your opinion.

Let's start here then, i had accepted the dog was not running on the same day the bet was done when he was taken out of their betting (talked to BJG about it on another forum) so i am over it, i didn't post me full thoughts on the situation until the full list of entries where in for obvious reasons. Others after i made the first post the other day that it looked ominous took the same view as i did and posted it on here (i hadn't at that stage) so it's not just my opinion. Others can come along and tell me to f off and stop talking rubbish if they feel that way, i won't be offended.

As for me taking big prices on dogs that should not have been that price in the first place i don't see how that equates to a firm laying a dog they know is not running. I take a price that's too big a dog but it still has to win and there is still the chance it will lose. The bookmaker laying the dog they know is not running can only win and not lose, big difference in my opinion.

As for laying dogs that are not running no i would not do that. I've had ample chance to do it even for this Derby on runners i've been told are injured and not running and down the years but perhaps wrongly in some people eyes i think the decent thing is to let people know so they don't waste their money, perhaps some will view that stupid but i see it as being honest.

People laying ante-post what they know to be non-starters happens all the time Betfair. The ones in the dark are the ones that get bitten and the others have to sleep with their conscience. From PF's view, big organisations shouldnt have to con people, they do well enough as it is but i wouldnt hang the minnows for trying to make a quick shilling. I know what's right or wrong should be the same for everyone regardless, but it's just my take on it

PF I got your point, but as woody says its dog eat dog , or paddy eats paddy, and i agree they are a shower of **** as i have said many times on here . i personally cant understand why the bitch behind the counter is still there years later and the gorgeous one has been dumped within in six months ..... time after time over the years.

PF, Im surprised that you're going on about this do much coz you're a well respected punter and probably the most shrewdest doggy punter I know on here. I backed Hurricane Fly two years ago for the champion hurdle and he was never gonna run but i never asked for my money back. No doubt the crowd I backed him with knew he wasnt going to run but I had to take the fall and its nobody elses fault but my own As I said, its ante post betting and more often than not, the bookies are one step ahead. Keep the chin up pal - it's Derby time :)

Going to be a right cram session to do the 1st 2 nights cards as will have to get Thursday done as i'm sure the lads will corrupt me into having a few drinks Wednesday night Laugh

you have to say 365 just deliberately underpriced the majority ahead of the entry closing/drawAngry the draws to justify the drifting odds today.
