kuchar getting destroyed on twitter. doubt he cares though as not on there.
By:
Safe to say Spiffy be pleased at the nonsensical ruling,he was looking at bogey minimum from what I seen,in the garbage miles left...
Kuchar rightly getting slaughtered, what a miserable ****....gave the caddy a 1000 dollar bonus on a million dollar win plus sponsorship deals and is actually reminding people of that fact. What an arrogant miserable ****. |

PGA back live on sky.
Thank goodness for that chaps. |

he did offer an extra $15k which aparantly the caddie turned down..saying doesnt want his money, then comes back saying i expected atleast $50k not the whole $100. now saying hes angry at Matt and will not caddie for hime next year, tho he was willing to until recently. Sure Kuchar should have probably paid hime a fair chunk but if indeed he did offer the $15k at the time and was turned down thats not his fault. Obviously is he only offered the $15k after it all came out in the papers that he was cheap thats a different story. the way its told was Kuchar offered him $15k on top of the $5k due to him winning the event but it was turned down.
then again i dont know all the facts and it shouldnt relly be a blown out of prportion like it has |
By:
Gave him 5k instead of agreed 4k.
Well done Matt, what a decent multi millionaire you are. |
By:
think he offered the 15k through his agent after the story came out that the caddy wasn't happy, he didn't offer the 15k immediately after the event.
reminds me of a case some years ago when someone I knew won a lot of money on a quiz show. someone was in the audience supporting them and the person who won the money offered this person a low amount, that they weren't happy with. |
By:
obviously these players have a lot of outgoings, like managers, coaches, agents, travel bills etc. they are basically a business themselves and they have a lot of expenditure, but someone like Kuchar makes a lot of money even after expenses, so would have been an easy P.R. win by kuchar to just offer the stand-in caddy the usual 10 percent fee.
maybe the whole nice-guy grinning act is just a front. I recall reading a few years ago some book and they were talking to Justin leonard, and he was moaning about Kuchar's dad peter and how he would run on the green and irritate everyone with his behaviour, maybe the kuchars aren't as beloved as everyone thinks. |

By:
so is play suspended until tomorrow now? or they started again today at some point? sorry do not have Sky on here right now
By:
Life changing amount for caddy and his extended family if he stumped the real amount due,and huge PR boon.
Caddy earned every bean too as Kooch was stumbling around in the bloody dark as usual, that's also given him confidence and hes made bundles since also which nobody's mentioned. Getting rightly pilloried imo. What a pr ick.. |
By:
they won't announce anything until 1 pm pacific time which is 9 pm our time. weather got worse apparently. doubt any play today tbh.
By:
All depends on the drainage, rain should subside in the afternoon. Even if they could nick a couple of hours today it would make a big difference to getting it done, which is what makes cancelling the first 50 minutes so bizarre.
By:
Assuming no more or very little play today looks like a big favour to the early starters who would get calm and dry conditions on Friday morning instead.
By:
think they cancelled the first few holes as an admission that they shouldn't have started in the first place, as light was much worse than they had expected so in theory an unfair disadvantage to those starting early.
By:
If it was unfair it wasn't by much, scoring was fine, there were 3 guys over par and they plus Spieth were probably the only ones happy with the call. Plus if the lengthy delay benefits the same guys any slight disadvantage would have evened out. They'll look pretty stupid if they end up having 50 minutes to play on Monday although I suspect they will have more than that to play.
By:
Had a few investments but not sure with sticking with it really, looks like a long laborious weekend with more luck than usual required.
Bubba DJ Rory Uihlein Putnam. Small loss available... |

Sickener if one goes in

By:
Quite right jedi - never fell for that goofy fkin grin of his. Unwritten rule to get 10% - it just shows him up for who he truly is. Then you have all those taking the blood money from SA too.
By:
Spieth must be luckiest golfer ever he was looking at a double from that lie
By:
Will you go back next year for free as a kind gesture Sergio ?
By:
9-40 start they say.
By:
If attempting 940 start wtf with scrapping the hour,ok if lose full day, just bizarre as said on here earlier.
By:
And Soieth is the luckiest golfer ever, well imho....
By:
Spieth obviously
![]() |
By:
a shambles already. restarting is round 1 is nonsense, if it was a 30mph wind earlier and calm now i would understand their reasoning but cant think of a good reason why now..unless they didnt want Spieth to be unhappy
By:
spiffy might struggle anyway under these conditions, hitting it terrible, and playing long and soft you've got no chance on some of these holes.
By:
Posters called it earlier but I assumed were 100% losing a full day.
This is just ludicrous, first hour getting back to where they were.lol. Some pissed off some happy, just bizarre management of events. Imagine only get an hour in... ![]() Imbeciles that manage sports events.clueless. |
By:
Spiffy might struggle because he is hitting the ball sideways off the tee.
Like has been for best part of a year. Army golf as said many times, left, left, left right left. Got away with it due to a magical short game,an unheard of amount of putts dropping and huge slices of the afore mentioned luck ![]() ![]() Miles off the top of the game.60 yds left at 1st. |
By:
The 10th hole.
By:
we will have to compare the scores of those who started earlier to see if they are better off this time around, some playera could get really pissed off if they double the first this time
By:
Tournament director said he walked the 1st and players had to listen for the ball landing as it was so dark.Stupid decision to start at all.
By:
Should call it 54 hole event before even start. Everyone knows the craic.
Set the timetable and play.. |
By:
youwould think they would have light meters were it has to be at a certain level for play to be allowed, that way it wouldnt be a judgment call and this wouldnt happen again. On flip side it would be a bit OTT and common sense should be enough to know if its too dark to play golf. strange decisions recently
By:
were they playing L C and P when they went out first time ? I'm presuming they were but if not that will be the reason for scrapping the scores and reloading
By:
pretty sure they were Eugene
By:
Pretty sure they were. Not really seen any reasonable justification for losing the first 50 minutes.
By:
Ding ding
By:
Groundhog hour.....
Ludicrous. |
By:
Yes TB a bizarre decision I suspect that if 12 journeymen had started it would have stood
Spieth will probably birdie the 10th this time |
By:
if they suspend play in the next hour im giving up on this week totally !
By:
would be funny if spiffy was to birdie the first
