Backed Day at 14 a short while ago,and was bigger briefly.

I couldn't give a **** about accusations of after timing if I've hit the jackpot on an outsider.
Lol. One of my better ones was when Sneds sneaked in under the weather to win. Hugely hugely favoured and fortunate..... |
By:
Luck this week more than most imo...weather,partners, draw...
Sunday always great watch at Pebble though. |
By:
Chez had a few mentions too...

jedi, I backed day at 8-1 at the bookies. backed him at 12s on here. I meant to back him at 10-1 with bookies but the price crashed.

-6 thru 6.......
By:
isn't evry famous for his fast starts.
By:
Yeah, he's streaky, kind of reminded me of the Taylor / Points / Potter type of winner we sometimes get here, hence the play. All guys who can do nothing for ages then pop up and win.
By:
Can't complain about any of my 3 so far.
By:
Fairly typical of DJ.
Flawless on tougher 9 gets to 4 under with lots of easy holes and par 5s. Switch off completely... |
By:
Sky cant even get scores right, coverage woeful, getting out of this, cant handle another 2 nights of this nonsense..
Just wish had done 2 hrs ago. |
By:
Fun while it lasted.

Maybe wind has got up....
DJ level par since got to 4 under, that's about 3 over in reality this back nine....rank. Field very tight all of a sudden, looked like some get to 8,9 under for sure. DJ looked sure to get 6,7 under to me. Comms saying he hammered Spiffy, there levels.lol. You shoulda got out too TB.Bit early though. I cant deal with this all weekend, just dire stuff. |
By:
Day joint leader, not even a sighting of him ffs.....shocking.
By:
Yeah, scoring seems to have completely died all of a sudden, like you say you'd have expected one of the fast starters to kick on but it's bunching up instead. Strange one.
By:
Mitchell TB surely?
By:
Could be blowing 45 at other courses we have no ****g clue, pathetic 8snt it...
By:
Players on show at Pebble. Amateurs. My goodness me.

Spiffy n DJ tied at 5 under. Nice day out.

Outright lead Day.
Still no sightings. Pmsl. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
By:
starting on MP could be huge for Spieth prospects this week, getting off to a fast start will hopefully let him kick on. If not this week but just hope he gets on an uohill trajectory of results
By:
Not touched Mitchell for a while. Glad I didn't make plans for my big win, my team has given up entirely.
By:
Bill Murray to win for me

By:
Forumites whinging about the coverage - 1.01 landed. It's the same every year what were you expecting different Jedi?
By:
amazing back nine for Spieth. a sleeping giant.
might back him for the masters cus if he wins this his price will surely crash much lower, maybe to around 7 or 8s. and if he doesn't doubt there's always a chance the price will come in later anyway. and can't see it going out much . ![]() |
By:
already winning 8k on spiffy for masters but greedy for some more
![]() |
By:
Maybe them to learn a lesson show some stuff we are half interested in,not load ALL the top players one course, even the celebs were dire ffs.
![]() ![]() I stated I expected what we got but still disappointing when reality kicks in and a lot of waffle on screen when good golf going on all around. |
By:
DON'T EXPECT TO SEE ALOT OF GOLF THIS WEEK - it's a fun ProAm event after all..... with RICH CELEBS and BIG business egos... yawn

Celebrity Saturday at Pebble seems to be traditional, even if the standard of celebrity has gone, so don't expect much to change, they want the majority of big names on Pebble on a Saturday, not sure they really care about the viewing on Thurs and Friday. I suppose they want to attract people who wouldn't regularly tune in and it's not really for the likes of us. Once or twice a year I guess it's fine.
By:
Featured Groups: Mahan (-1), Furyk (E), Champ (+1), Garnett (+5). They're not even pretending to try.
By:
why have those guys as the featured groups? everyone wants to watch dj and Spieth. I know we get "bonus" coverage of them but they should be the main dish. maybe they aren't set up to cover the other two courses?
By:
That's it LR, they have a couple of cameras out at Spyglass for the big names but only Pebble set up for a proper broadcast. We get the Furyk group because of Romo.
By:
this romo is pretty amazing at golf considering that it's pretty much a hobby for him. then again having said that he probably plays more than most pros lol.
one thing I've noticed about Spieth is that he tends to do well at the same courses, like augusta, pebble beach etc. |
By:
this champ is a freak. wonder how many eagles he'll make over the course of his career
![]() |
By:
spiffy starting to look back to his best... hopefully mengmeng was right although young Jordan seems to throw in the occasional dismal round when in contention, fingers crossed that won't happen over the weekend.
By:
"There must be SOME way we can make the coverage even worse. Anyone got any ideas?"
"Anton Du Beke?" |
By:
looks like Phil is back to throwing good rounds away in the last few holes again
By:
yeah sky sports studio looks like a cheese-fest.
amazing up and down by romo… he could have been a top pro if he had chosen golf for a living, I reckon. |
By:
Like if hard for Romo. Smart bloke, women love him, good at literally everything and filthy rich. Why even get up in the morning when you so much going against you?
