Was a couple behind only 2 hours or so ago.
6 holes. Massive doubt for me him getting back to winning majors. |

spiffy will peak in april

Not for me. But he never has been....
By:
yeah but this week is a positive for Spieth jedi. he's improving on what he showed earlier in the year.
even going into last years masters he was playing gash and he very nearly won it. and was in the final group for the open. |
By:
Tournament really needs a good finish from Phil or Day, keep Casey honest tomorrow.
By:
quick question-
say if pro misses the cut but his team is leading the overall competition, does he come back the next day anyway, or do they just not play? |
By:
Pretty sure the pro plays the Sunday.
By:
Proper windy again all day tomorrow, anything can still happen, especially when it's Casey with a lead. Doesn't feel over in the slightest.
By:
it definitely helps casey that he won recently (was it the Valspar?) although I recall he won that tournament from off the pace. when he's been in the final groups he's often been pretty limp, I remember mcilroy overturned a six shot deficit a few years ago.

a bottler leading,an ageing cavalier tucked in behind followed by more bottlers...can team Casey do it..is 1.8 big or skinny?
By:
Skinny, imo. Reckon Phil'll catch him......

Please god you're right raspberry, Go Phil!
By:
good thing when its windy is players end up in the rough a bit more, doesnt really matter to Phil as thats is normal playing position anyway so he can still play his normal game, also i have been on Casey when hes been leading or near the lead far too many times to admit and he turns into a totally different player, goes negative with shots, his chips get left short and he starts looking very dodgy on short putts. He could well win and probably should with his lead but i think there is quite a bit of drama to come in the final round

By:
The only reason to lay Casey, according to the STATS, is if you've backed him...........
AT&T Pebble Beach Selections - J Day @11 P Casey @46 B Harkins @380 LAY P Casey @1.81 GL all playing............. |
By:
Just announced a 1 hour delay due to the rain. Not much rain forecast from 9am so hopefully the course will drain quickly and they can get done today, would rather see them tested in the wind than having to play in nice conditions tomorrow, particularly cos a windy day brings more into it.
By:
At the current prices i think Phil is worthy of a small investment.
By:
lots of talk about the prowess of the youngsters but this leaderboard wouldn't have looked out of place in 2008
By:
Great start for Phil.

Looking like Monday finish?
By:
Need to get out by 1pm to have a chance of finishing today so looks unlikely especially with all the ams, although its amazing how quick they can go when they need to
By:
With 4 balls out there and high winds 1pm might be optimistic, sunset 1743. You'd think from Casey's point of view the fewer holes he has to play today the better, windy conditions being more volatile for losing a lead. Although another night to stew on things I guess.
By:
Resuming 1pm, they'll need to get a serious wriggle on.
By:
Oh well vowed not to get involved, wish I hadn't,been a long and painful week so far.
Bit more on Gay. Some on Kim. Bet on Philip. Large lay on Paul.... Should ease the pain of this gruesome 4 days. Never ever again....horrid coverage,event.... |
By:
Not sure the delay has helped Casey much, he looks very nervous and alot less smug than usual
By:
Will be a Monday finish.
Prob 8.30 start their time. |
By:
The time these guys now take is ludicrous....
Certainly not rushing to get done. Deary me, Lucky If get 12 in.... |
By:
I hope Sky are planning live coverage for the conclusion tomorrow

LETS GO PHILIP.....LETS GO!
Hes scared,and nervous,and not as good... ![]() ![]() |
By:
For a guy who could really use them, Spieth is shipping a lot of ranking / Fedex points.
By:
Bad bad miss Phil.8feet straight up the hill...let Casey off hook.
By:
Spieth ain't back,he cant string any consistency at all,and when conditions are fought hes utterly useless.
Miles off for me. To get beat by so many having traded fav for so ,ong says a lot about how badly hes played last 2 days. |
By:
Anyone name me a streakier player than Stallings?
By:
think Spieth will take a lot of positives from this though, because showed very good signs for first two days, which you can't say about most of the events he's played recently. bookies shortening him up for the masters, says a lot, these people aren't fooled by his weak finish. they know he loses interest when can't win a tournament.
have I mentioned that I've backed him for the masters ![]() |
By:
casey should win this in a hack canter. solid tee to green game should take care of business.
By:
That miss was big for Stallings.

2 hours 7 minutes to play 6 holes
