Happy new year golf forum.

Not sure why Matsy isn't the default fave here (yes I know he has poor course form). Absolute wrecking ball at the minute. Still haven't backed him though, the 25s on Walker in this event is a bit rude imo so have sent the money there. Specked a few outsiders to boot - Kirk, Henley, Wagner, Hurley and List.

CCM, coincidence I assure you Whoops....... ’avenge or revenge is sweet’

Listen hear SONnY...
Jordan Spieth....Let’s hope the ‘Greller Team’ are right about this shorter, flatter test in Honolulu.
Justin Thomas.....He has now ‘learnt to win’ so expect a BIG 2017 from JT.
Brandt Snedeker.....’avenge or revenge is sweet’ having shot 260 last year for 2nd place - a score that would win all bar two of the last 14 Sony’s.
Soren Kjeldsen.....Dane sailing in a high from the windy World Cup in tricky K.H. Also 4th in DP World Dubai & on tight Valderrama track too.
Kevin Kisner.....5th last year having 3 MC’s prior. RSM Classic 2015 Champion at Sea Island.
R: Charles Howell III.....course horse.

Have backed Spieth & Matsuyana early doors to win think Snedeker who went well in this last year is worth a e/w bet @ 30/1

@Sundogmonkey  • 17 Oct 2016 Thanks for info from @RobBoltonGolf. Prediction time from me, look for solid first season from Cheng Tsung Pan. comfortably keeping card.

Note we're fans of Rio Olympian & World Cup player Cheng Tsung Pan - the 24-year-old second year pro who graduated from the Web.com Tour with seven T10’s helping him to 11th in the rankings. He opened the 2017 season with two missed weekends, then made two, but struggled to impose himself (T57, T46) before hitting a T6 in the RSM Classic at Sea Island. The former University of Washington star is highly thought of and was a proud and humbled representative of his nation at the 31st Olympiad where sixty players representing 34 different countries comprised the Men's Olympic Golf Competition. Pan has bagged $228,813 so far and stands 63rd on the FedEx Cup. Perhaps another surprise attack on Pearl Harbor Devil - this time from 'Chinese Taipei' hotshot Cheng Tsung - not the worst 150/1 shot in a tournament that has thrown up big priced winners.

LATE START in Honolulu...like last week 10 hrs behind us.

FIRST TEE OFF TIME is 5.00pm Thursday evening (7am local)

SW Kim - we can read between the lines based on events of the past few months - withdrew after 10 holes at the OHL Classic citing a back injury then MC on his return the next week - and even after resting during the holiday break before returning to Maui where he finished second last of 32 players. OFF MY Christmas List already. Devil

despite his current great start to the season I think Thomas must be a lay at his current odds. About 13-8 and history teaches us that it's extremely difficult to follow up such a low round with another good one. Ok he only has to shoot around even par to be well up there and possibly still in the lead but there's a long way to go.

Spieth drifting after shooting five under seems an overreaction.

My opinion is we need to see Thomas on a tougher course. This is made for University players. I'd like to see him in a British Open before I acknowledge Justin Thomas has made the top grade. That saying, this looks over. Obvious that Speith has lost that steely putting nerve he had. I would be apprehensive aout taking 1.6 on Thomas until after round 3/.36 holes is a lot of golf.

I hope the golf tour gets a bit more exciting and the time we watch is more humane. And I am missing Sarah's legs.
