Spieth may not have to beat DJ Grant. DJ can beat DJ. If DJ plays his best for 72 holes with no mental breakdown, he wins in a canter. The only fella who could maybe stop that has his foot in a cast. Doesn't often happen though, he ain't much like the father in law.

He could at least try and inject a bit of colour and/or insight into his "analysis" of his round. Why not tell us a bit about his club selection, thought processes, tactics on tricky holes, when he played safe or attacked, where he thinks the best chances are to make birdies etc? Rather than "I hit it and was pleased to see it land near the flag".
I just don't get how professionals in so many sports don't get the basics of marketing, insofar as the big sports companies are desperate to partner with (and pay big money to) the players/athletes who have the big personalities, outgoing character and marketable personas. Don't imagine many youngsters are dreaming of becoming like Robert Streb. |
