virtually all day leishman has had no money available to back at any prices. just a series of £2s. would be looking at evens if you wanted a 50 quid on. its ok if the player you want to back has some money, if not then the exchange is pointless. putting up money is pointless cos nobody lays it until they drop a shot.

there has been 20k matched on leishman at 11.5/12 most of that was overnight.

If you put money up you would be surprised what gets taken

it means that basically if youre trading any players, or just want to back or lay a player, you have to wait until the end of the day when some real money gets put up.
or you have to guess who you may want to back the next day.

and i did, ive had nearly 900 quid up to back leishman for hours. got about 30 quid of it matched. at 12.0. hes now 14.0 on exactly the same score as he was when i wanted to back him at 12.0! nobody lays fook all if you put it up. they think he must have got an eagle that nobody else in the entire world knows about!

ive had plenty matched today trebor.

bob leishman went out to the high teens when he bogeyed the first
By:

When: 01 Aug 14 18:20
yeah but he only moved, as do most players in play, when he either made a birdie/made a bogey/ or looked like making one of those. during times of nothing happening, which is most of the day, you couldnt get a brass button on him at any price.

the point im making is if traders are so smart and clever, why have i now been able to back him at 13.5 purely cos hes not playing anymore, when they could have layed me 12.0 when there was a chance of him making a bogey on the last hole? traders just go to sleep until someone has finished their round.

im obviously a complete buffoon wanting to back him at 12.0 at that point, but nobody wants take advantage of that! he'll probably be 16.0 tomorrow morning when im asleep too!

im a traders wet dream ffs!

maybe SMALL stakes workable to a very select few but to majority they see nothingness - need to educate not pretend all is good - IN MY OPINION not trying to argue lol.

indeed, but tbh he is complaining there is no change in the market unless there is a change on the game, which is a bit backwards imo.

we can all harp back to the 'good old days' but things were odd then, with many backers/layers learning the game, it was clear the market had to correct itself, which is what we are getting now.

its the same as all, poker, blackjack etc, so much harder to turn a profit now people have a higher basic knowledge

I was making nice profits when waiting 2 rounds and laying the fav. Maybe should get back to that as it is about time leaders started to falter to a greater extent. As always, remember 2 rounds sometimes is less than 50% of the round of golf if there is a tie on a Sunday. Very rarely will you get caught out on laying on the double tournament either. The number of us that madea decent killing this year I would say is minimal. Only Betfair with their exorbitant commission is laughing. But an exchange is supposed to have a winner and a loser on every bet. This means that a winner keeps reinvesting until he loses.
