Good afternoon dear friends ....and Oirish peeps,
As has been stated above, this too would not be my favourite format in all the world, but it is what it is, and all the gurning won't change it.
A lot of 'ponderables[ and [probables[ and [ifs[ and [buts[......." if weather conditions at Carnoustie are docile the morrow, who then hath the 'advantage' ?
Nay, I tend to ere on the side that these quirks iron themselves out over the Four days.
Anywhoo, a slightly larger opening salvo this week, is as follows;

Charlie Schwartz £10 @ 25.
Bernd Wiesberger £35 @ 38.
B. Grace £5 @ 38.
Victor D £5 @ 52.35
A. Quiros £5 @ 60.
Big Woody £3 @ 71.
Freddie Hed £2 @ 130.
S. Webster £6 @ 140.
Julien Quesne £2 @ 110.
R. Gonzalez £2 @ 110.
JVZ £2 @ 240.
Hennie Otto £2. 280.
Seve Benson £2 @ 254.6
D. McGraine £2 @ 300.
Espen Kofstad £2 @ 330.
P.McGinley £2 @ 600.
RJD £2 @ 340.
J. Edfors £2 @ 450.
S.Hend £2 @ 252.8
K.Broberg £2 @ 490.

Liability £100.

On closing, could I ask once again that we are not dragged into the mire of Nationality by the scurillous few.
I only point out the pride Wee Rory showed to his beautiful National Flag, whilst celebrating that famous thingy cup victory.
There is no place for such nonsense on the BF Golf Forum, and I would plead to our delusional rep of Oir chums to desist !
As ever, in all sincerity, your dear friend Heinz. Surprised

All about the weather at Carnoustie for me, so i'd rather play it first (whilst the weather appears to be fairly mild) and then hope the weather deteriorates for the next 2 days.

Not that the other 2 courses are easy in tough conditions, but definately easier than Carnoustie on a (very) windy day.

Dear Heinz who loves Pear cider.....On closing, could I ask once again that we are not dragged into the mire of Nationality by the scurillous few.

Am i allowed to say 'i want this golfer to win because he's English'?
If no English golfer contending on Sunday, 'i want this golfer to win because he's British'?
If no British golfer contending on Sunday, 'i want this golfer to win because he's a member of the Commonwealth'?
If no Commonwealth golfer contending on Sunday, 'i want this golfer to win because he's Irish'?
If no Irish golfer contending on Sunday, 'i want this golfer to win because he's European'?
If no European golfer contending on Sunday, 'i want this golfer to win because he's non-USA'?

@quincy.. will you do us all a favour and bring some decorum and class to this thread and maybe give us a few players to consider. By the way, the filly AOB runs on Friday in England nearly got knocked over in her last race. One to have a look at the video on atr before making a decision.
