Don't really like any of the short prices, if I was to go with one it would probably be Fowler. Like Hoffman at 50s. Decent enough run out at the US open and a 2nd here last year.

Mahan a big threat but this is Bubbas house. Hard to tell whether Hunter and particularly Rose will be up for it. This isn't exactly big time compared to what they were duelling for this Sunday, having said that, nothing wrong with their prices, more than fair for backers. But, Bubba for me out of the market leaders - loves the track, due a win, playing solid golf all year without really threatening a win, just reckon it might be his turn.

For some value, Poulter could well be fired up after the exploits of his good buddy last week, but for a good 3 figure price I think Blixt is the man. Had the 2nd year blues to start the season but been very good lately with a solid showing in the US last time out and a near win on the Euro tour at the Nordea, his game is on the up and his price is real value.

Bugger all getting matched, very quiet week. Only for the committed the week after a major it seems.

Not a penny matched here too, all the layers must be on hols this week!

I'm sure things will start to get matched closer to the tee off. Perhaps Royal Ascot week is simply diverting cash from golf to horse racing. More matched on the Eurotour than PGA this week, which is very rare. Even got 1p pence matched at 500, god knows what the layer was thinking.

I will start off the preview of this years Travelers Championship with the quote of how I started last years preview
"The event gives out invites to top amateur players and it is quite interesting to se what happens to them. Cink made his pro debut here in 1995 and has won the event twice. Hunter Mahan first played here as an amateur missing the cut in 2000 and won seven years later and been second twice as well. JJ Henry also played as an amateur in 1998 and won eight years later as a professional. Michael Putnam was 4th in his first pro start back in 2005, Michael Thompson played well as an amateur and then last year was 4th whilst Patrick Cantlay played superby last year shooting a 60 and turns pro this week."
This remains the principle behind three of my picks this week and I have also added John Rollins who is a bit of a no brainer pick to me this week. The three time tour winner is in great form finishing 4th and 6th in his last two events and and comes to an event where he has been 2nd and 4th the last two years - what's not to like! 0.5 ew 40/1
Casey Wittenberg was one of the top amateurs I alluded to who played here back in 2002 and on his last visit here in 2009 (his last full year on tour) he finished 7th. He actually got in the field last year having been 10th at the US Open but declined the invitation to play on the Web.com tour event in Kansas. It proved to be an inspired move as he won and sealed his card on the main tour for this year. He hasn't set the world alight this season bar a very good 8th at the Players Championship but back here at a familiar venue he is worth a bet at the price 0.2 ew 250/1 + 0.6 top ten 18/1
I wanted to back Matt Every last year but he withdrew but I will certainly give him a chance this year. The top US amateur back in 2006 he has still to record his first main tour win but he has plenty of top finishes - sadly it is very difficult pinpointing when those are going to happen! However he fulfills my criteria this week and at the price is worth a bet 0.25 ew 110/1
A bit of a late addition but a tweet earlier caught my eye from Kyle Stanley - thanking the tournament organisers for giving him his pro start here four years ago. With two third placed finishes and a sixth in his last six tour starts he is certainly in great form and at 66/1 is worth adding to the portfolio 0.25 ew

Just Kyle Stanley pre-tourney at 65 - Overall still progressive and has been promising to win again soon and has a top 20 here in the past.

I hope you're on the right track this week TMM as I'm also on Rollins & Every. Whilst I often try to avoid the too obvious as you say with Rollins this week it's so completely blindingly obvious that you just can't not back him!

With Every I just think that he's too good not to win soon, the course suits as you've pointed out & hopefully he'll eventually be inspired to victory by his mate Billy's recent rise to stardom.

I've also backed the Hoff who again seems an obvious selection & was great value at 60s e/w on Monday for top 6.

My other main selection is Delaet who is again another winner waiting to happen and whilst he has no great course form his big hitting and accurate iron play should be suited to the course.

Good luck everyone.

Leishman was in the 20s for the Byron Nelson a month ago, know his form has tailed off a bit but seems strange he's three times that to defend here.

Kind of regret not posting as now it'll look like aftertiming, before this priced up I had Mahan about 16/1 tops for this so had my biggest pre-off back of the season in the mid-twenties.  Tough call on whether to trade as he's not generally a frontrunning kind of guy, but the way he's putting he could just run away with it.
