@Quincy....replied on last week's thread. If anybody followed my advice re laying Tiger last Sunday and waiting to back him at a bigger price pre tournament, happy days. Pity this writer had not went in more but bank was elsewhere, tied up in another market.Hereunder I am now
Snedeker + €900 Garcia + €900 Rose + €800 Tiger + €485 Phil - €300 G.Mc - €300 Field - €350. Waiting for a lot of trades to happen but it looks like some may not pre tournament and I will be hoping to work through the tournament to make things look more moderate. |

I'm adding Brian Davis at 400, and Toms at 550, to Keegan and Guthrie. Both have gone well here before though as the prices indicate are out of form.

Have been reading up a bit on this tournament. The record for the lowest winning score is still held by the late Payne Stewart at 264. The year. 1987.

Market I think is about to turn back in favour of Tiger Woods. Price will shorten now.

this tourney has got my full attention because its the first time, i feel, where we are back to the 'bank of tiger' era, a la 'bank of australia' in the cricket few years back.
putting this tourney and its fluctuations into my muscle memory, where it shall be called upon to make faster savvy manouvres in the near future under similar circumstances. happy days. boo weekley has my spider senses tingling this week. |

was just thinking maybe it would be better to play blackjack with tiger in his three balls (assuming one thinks he will win the tourney).
for example maybe back him for $100 in his round one three ball at around evens. if that fails then put $200 on him for round two three ball. if that fails then $400 on his round three three ball. if he wins the first round three ball then back again for $100 in round two. of course this is with the rationale that one RECKONS tiger will win or go close. if you don't reckon he will do well then do the opposite of above but with lays. |

Pokermon.. I agree i looked at that also and thought your better off backinh him in his 3 ball.. He basically only has to beat Rose

I think you're right tobe. I'd expect a late plunge. I've taken 4.3, never taken anything so short in golf prior to the start but I think it's a must. Tiger and Poults, that is all.
|
|
By:
Tiger doesn't look like shortening any more. In fact the market's gone quiet in the last hour or two.
I've convinced myself Snedeker is fit and taken some of the 27s on offer. Also going in with a few long shots, namely Sendo, Clark and Gay. Missed the best prices on those three though. |

Was trying to keep myself to a maximum of five picks in this but i've ended up going with six.If there wasn't any gambling involved and i was given one pick at choosing the winner of the tournament,i would obviously go with Tiger. Not my kind of price though and i'll go with the following players in the hope he doesn't quite perform as he has done here previously.
Poulter - Win only@50 on here and Top five@8 with the bookies. Fowler - Win only@75 and Top five@15 on here. Walker - Win only@100 on here and Top five@18 with the bookies. Els - Win only@130 and Top five@19.5 on here. Leishman - Win only@310 and Top five@38 on here. Lynn - Win only@630 and Top five@50 on here. Good luck if you're dabbling in this one... |

I've gone and done something I rarely do; Westwood at 43/1.
There seems to have been some definite improvement in his short game, and if anything, his accuracy with his irons has been less than impressive. Tough course, hopefully give me a run. |
