lee john was never winning this..tough course not for him..you have to make a fair share of putts to nullify the bad shots around places like this

Got there in the end. Taking a loss here, paying the price for not respecting him at all.

I am with you Harry, played poor for a lot of last two rounds but his name was on it.
Another donkey wins on PGA Tour, the standard is woeful at the moment. |
|
By:
@poke..... Super performance from the Aussie... might be his turn next week as he didn't appear to be under duress anytime during his round today. What price I wonder...maybe around 28/1.
|
|
By:
dont worry sneds will be back soon..show some class...natural golfer...doesnt take 10minutes over every shot...apart from the final round I watch gold on sky+ catch up...cant put myself through it..players too slow

Take Ogilvy (who made two birdies in last three holes) out and he wins by four shots, 4th place is 6 shots behind him. Made one bogey on the back nine. Now you tell me where he was going to throw it away? I'm not on drugs - being on drugs is hoping he was going to throw it away. |

@par.....you might try one of those donkey derbies sometime....that is after doing the work to qualify.
|

By:
eagled putt from another country....pulled a shot and almost went in drink...bunkers a plenty...holes long par putts you hardly make..choked a putt from around 4ft...he was close to losing it.
|
|
By:
he did deserve the win over the 4 days no doubt but you saying he never looked like losing it is far fetched
|
|
By:
Holing the putts is key, he's trying to hole the putts, he ain't trying to miss them.
Holing putts he should n't is n't almost throwing it away, it's going out there and winning it. For the record I lost on the tournament and never thought about having a penny on Thompson at any point during the week until it was too late obviously. |

@poke..you might advise if I should lay that draw now......when you wake up. It is priced 6.8 to lay if I am correct.

Am off to bed myself with a bloody earache....sore thing. And brandy not an option.

By:
tobe, i dont see australia batting two days. but stranger things have happened. and morse says its a draw GSM so laying the draw seems savvy.

up about $200 in golf for weekend. could have been better if not for a few things in running i could have done better in saffers and lpga. aus batsman looking good somehow now.... ![]() roll on the cadillac!! |

Managed to win on it. As usual, the winner was my lowest green. Close to giving up on Westwood, except as a trade. On the subject of liquidity, are there any punters left, or just a few punters and a load of bots.

agree with rease here.
The most important aspect is putting. Every week the guy who putts best on the weekend nearly always wins. On Saturday Thompson rode his luck a little but his short game was good. Guthrie on the other hand kept missing putts i lost count of how many. The game is about how many you take on a hole. Putting well is a vital component. On the back nine Thompson looked steady and in control to me. He played the last 4 very well. The Honda is always a good event as the course is so testing with danger on many holes. Thompson deserved his win. |
