Surely this guy has the very best of technology available to him given he's a pro punter?
Strange that he didn't have some sort of mobile device available to hand given the huge amount at stake, But perhaps he's just a filthy rich casual punter and these sort of loses don't matter a jot to him, Either that or it's complete nonsense. |

I didnt say someone had £50k on scott what I said was someone had 50k on woods and at teh same time people had huge bets ona few others (they defo wouldnt have been enough to take 1 million out) but they were nig like 10k on scott - 10k + on harrington - I dunno what ur graphs show you but if they are time stamped It will show someone (defo not me ) betting v big at 12.55-1.10 am on thurs morning - I asssumed it was some far east guys .....either way it helped my book - I just lay round books...

By:
I thiunk it was these bets that got matched at teh same time but I may be mistaken.... although Fowler, harrington, woods, + some others defo get bet at taht time... 2012-07-22

fair enough Flashbadger, I thought you meant on Scott.
I see two 50k spikes @ 10s on the the Woods graph (time stamped Thursday 19th, 11:46a.m.). |

I think, and I don't know why... but things might just be ok.
It could transpire that without recalling correctly, KR had a +888K green on Ernie. You never know your luck. |

I find this incredibly hard to believe aswell, but if it is true it is amongst the worst punting ever. Getting 100k on with the bookies at odds of 8/1 or 9/1 spread over 4 or 5 firms would have been a piece of cake if he wasnt ever intending laying off. They were going 10/1 and 9/1 must be better than taking 10s on here and a 40% PC. secondly, woods traded at a low of around 2.9 or something similar & scott was below 1.20 for much of the final round. There was no way he couldnt be bothered to lay off, its absolute madness. If you had 1m greens on both woods and scott, he would have at least traded his stake back surely being that he was in about as commanding a position as you could possibly be in a golf tournament for large chunks of all four rounds.
I apologise to knight rider if this is all true, but as mentioned by others it is extremely easy to press "PRiNT SCRN" on your keyboard and then paste it into paint file and then show us the screenshot, but i will go 1.01 that doesnt happen. IF i am wrong i will be the first to apologise. By the way I just had 120k on brazil for the mens olympic soccer at 7/4 wish me luck.. |

EVERY 1 O U MUGS BELIEVED THIS GUY POSTED THE BET.....AHEMMMMM. HE DIDNT.......SO THERE SUCKAZ......

I do find it quite funny that people with big banks and big bets are expected to justify their (losing) stories to others.
The joy of the forum I guess. |
|
By:
people who post up amounts they are betting (particularly if large amounts) are always fantasists - this is an undeniable fact.
Why would you want to get into a swinging d1ck competition on an anonymous internet forum? Real pro punters do not reveal what they are betting. It is the first rule of gambling. The people on here posting made up figures like £15k or £100k bets simply want to make out they are living it large, when they are in fact still living in a rat infested bedsit, on the dole, and placing £5 bets. |

You're right of course, it is d1ck swinging, but surely punters are the most likely to do it? I've been pro for 5 years and the one thing you can be sure of if you win big at this game is that no one else cares. Hence, after a while you feel the need to tell someone. |
|
By:
And I know for a fact that this mofo above me has just spent £210k on an Aston Martin.
It's not my place to do Bayes "**** swinging" for him but the ego in him won't mind me telling you although he may tell me otherwise in private but I don't care. ![]() |

Ok just got home, 86 new posts
sums up the Betfair forum I suppose, would have been '5 new' if Scott or Woods had won. Anyways quick summary:To the doubters: I suppose I can understand to an extent, there are plenty of fantasists on the BF forum, and I stay quiet for the most part these days but was a bit drunk on Wednesday and having already backed Woods quite heavily decided to top it up to £1m and do a 'bravado' post on here which is a bit unlike me but thought it would be a laugh. I'm genuinely not that bothered if some of you think I am lying, after all I am just an anonymous forum name! To the haters: I actually quite enjoy this, when people show joy at my having lost money, it makes me feel like I'm quite a nice person! As I can't imagine ever wanting someone to lose money. Perhaps you go into a local struggling restaurant and goad them at their lack of recent custom? To everyone else: Thanks for the kind words, still feeling very very silly for not laying off, although I think as a general strategy if you are going to have a few beers while watching the final round it's a good idea to stay away from the laptop. Just a very very rare set of circumstances that ends up with your potential lifetime biggest win trading at 1.02 and then losing. Things are always easier with hindsight! |

Interesting you say "already backed him heavily and then decided to top it up" as post one on this thread shows a lump of 111k to give the magic 1M+
Also interesting that you would be so cavalier and free spirited with "potential lifetime biggest win" trading at 1.02 and not being anxious to lay off stake or even green up to close to or even still lifetime biggest all green book. Funny old world, saint. |
|
By:
It doesn't show a 'lump', it shows an average. Honestly mate if you don't want to believe it then fair enough. In your world I am a lot richer than in the real one

An aside, glad to see you are so chipper at having done a million.. but
you said 950K green on scott but those figs above suggest 922K again, interesting figures. |
|
By:
as per 00:09, "(think earlier figures I gave were not including missed cut players)"
|
|
By:
yes i took them into hand and adding them back would give a green close to 970K on scott
once again, interesting figures |
|
By:
just screen print it, too easy to faff about and adjust (accordingly) with copy and paste.
never understood that one. |
|
By:
barzelon, i think you are acting like a child get ur toys to play with.
KR that is a hefty sum, sorry you lost. is this loss an affordable one? |
|
By:
well first off, I don't know where I would post the screenshot after I have copied it.
second, you do realise having made approx £2m on Betfair, that I will lose very little sleep if some guy with a forum name 'Barzalona' wants me to verify one of my losing bets ![]() Hope people now understand my second post on this thread ![]() |
|
By:
screen print it and i will give a grand to the charity of your choice
|
|
By:
you do a screenprint and paste into MS paint or even MS word... both on 99% of PC's
and then just attach to post. |

His figures don't add up and now his story is just rotten to the core.
On for the biggest win ever and that cavalier? lol on to win 50% of supposed lifetime winnings on here and just throw a orange at the wall as laptop in the car? yeah ok ![]() |
|
By:
to be fair anyone could alter a copy & paste job. I am starting to believe this more but a screenshot takes a minute or two and would easily prove it....
|
|
By:
KR I will make a grovelling apology and 100% stick to paying your charity.... just switch to the new forum and when you post it gives option to attach screenprint.. obvioulsy black out on pain anything personal id wise.

I must admit, if i had to guess at how much you'd have won on betfair prior to this in the light of being so cavalier with that kind of money, i'd have guessed at a lot more than 2 million...however daft that sounds!!

What do we think?
Too much grog? Fell asleep? Not good with computers so stuff this? Should be good whatever the outcome. |

Barz for someone who has been on Betfair for 2 months you are a cheeky chappie
