i didnt watch, i was judging by the scores posted on eurotour,.... which didnt seem that bad, but as above its blown over in the wind, or they are having a lunch break |

scom, wind will be brutal first two days, a little better on saturday, but still very windy. Sunday will just be a normal windy day here.
For now I would estimate 7 - 8 under to be the winning score. |

hope your right eddie its just i was thinking all those with half decent scores tommorrow will be going backwards when they get their turn with the conditions

but then again as you say it just takes one normal day to see some 64/65's etc

And it's a desert course without many disastres scores lurking even if you are way off target.
On this course these guys will still scramble up decent scores even if they miss a lot of fairways and greens. |

Early starters will have a massive advantage here.Can see play being suspended half way through tomorrow,leaving the early starters today playing most of their 2nd rounds in easier conditions saturday morning.Just a thought.

But wind forecast for tomorrow is pretty much the same as it was for today, so if they can play today , they should be able to play tomorrow as well.

The tourney director said it will be 10mph stronger tomorrow.That sounds like trouble for play by mid morning when it really picks up.

I was on the course this afternoon guys, the wind was brutal. I'm still cleaning the sand out of my eyes! (seriously!)
I followed Thomas Aiken for most of the back 9 before switching to Gonzo's group for the last 3 holes. Conditions were really tough and the windiest part of the back nine today was up by the 14th green. The wind was really helping the players on the driveable 16th. Going back for the full day tomorrow. |

Entrance fee is 50 Riyals (about £8). Before this year it has always been free to get in. I'm really surprised that they starting charging this year as the crowds were never that great when it was free to get in.
Off to the course in 30mins. Going to watch Gonzo today. |
