It's very interesting, jimmy.  If you're running any kind of business you would be keen to find out what your competitors were making and anything else you could find out about the way they operated, especially the successful ones.

U25K: I can find value bets and know how to get out if sense trouble. Gut feeling in my case means doing right things at right time rather than sticking to a single decision which can go either way. No one can judge all perfectly but if majority of your decisions are right then that is enough. I know there are people who earn more than me but I have never seen a person win as much as me every year consistently.

My career progress
2004 25k
2005 40k around
2006 72k
2007 75k
2008 85k
2009 118k around
2010 84k
2011 140 (until today)

Great stats U25K, most of your bets are in-play watching the event then? What would you say your percentage of profit on turnover is?

Just curious, but you said you live in a rented place and drive a cheap car?, so I wondered what your motivation for making money is, what does money mean to you? :)

Yes TheInvestor...but do we know he is telling the truth...as far as I am concerned he could be living in cloud cuckoo land like 90% of posters on here. And why does he have to tell us about it. I always thought it was rude to talk about moneyExcited

How do we know he is telling the truth? We don't, but not all of us go through life assuming that people's default tendency is to lie.

I assume that U25k is telling the truth, and, incidentally, that he drives a cheap car because he, unlike you, doesn't feel the need to flaunt his wealth out on the streets.

My car is probably worth about 500 quid... You automatically assumed it was worth more than that. I don't find this thread irritating...far from it. it's very revealing.

lol for those that don't know, u25k posts on the how much have you won/lost thread on the football forum, he made screnshots to prove he made the figures he posted, but screenshots can be fake just look at this link http://www.juicestorm.com/tools/betfairgen/

he posted a video instead and it looks genuine of course being  a video but you can replicate whatever you see in your browser using software progams.

Not saying he's not for real though.

Very easy to fake video.
Save a copy of your browser and edit the webpage, not hard at all.

That would takes hours and hours to fake something like that and if you were going to go to those lengths you'd probably spend a bit more effort on the camera work :p

I actually think you can pretty much tell if someone's lying or not anyway.

By the way, Duncan, I've got a Mercedes and its much bigger than 7 inches ;)

Considering you are privy to approximately no ones accounts that's meaningless.

Obviously he flaunts his wealth on the internet is it better to flaunt on the streets or the web, who knows.

So how much have you won then?
Not rude to ask as we've all established.

RR,

I don't think we did establish that it wasn't rude to ask someone how much they had won, just that it wasn't wrong for someone to post their figures if they wanted to.

Go on you know you want to. A solitary occupation with little recognition from peers you must be busting to get the recognition you crave.

Or maybe you prefer to flaunt on the street!

I refuse to refer to the new PC and PC3. PC2 was a non-issue, so I'm calling 20% PC PC1, and 40-60% PC PC2.

There is no PC3 people. Crazy

Could be real, probably fake.
Why after it zooms in does it pull away again and then zoom in?
Why not zoom in and leave it there?

It would take under an hour to cache the P&L page and work offline after fudging.

If you're doing that well, why would you need to prove it to anyone?
Large winners on here have better things to do imho.

I can't see how it can be faked, but I'll take your word for it that it can be BTO, not saying that I think it is though.

What does amaze me is that if it's genuine, how someone can make those amounts by using gut feeling (aka guessing) as to which way an event is about to go, aka predicting the future.

The only other punters I know of that did similar was Koo, who concentrated on horse racing only and used fast pictures in running, and Footsoldiers who seemed to have an ability of good guessing but I think he went bust come the end by grossly over staking.

That would be incredibly time consuming to fake and I really don't see why anyone would bother.  If they did they'd get a better cameraman, surely?

Trevh,

Using gut feeling is NOT the same as guessing (even presuming, that is, that this is what u25K is doing). I suspect he is a talented match/game reader who, move often than not, can pick up on changes in momentum far quicker than most.

Trevh, if you think koo is 'guessing', you have a very misguided view of what is involved in studying horseracing form.
By:

Actually the easiest way to fake this would be to have two accounts and win money from one to the other.  Then the screens would look authentic.  Other than that you'd have to write a website that perfectly duplicated the functionality demonstrated, it's certainly not screenshots, you can tell from the way it's refreshing.

Trevh, I think it's entirely possible for someone to get value instinctively. It's not possible to make money by picking winners but if you back selections to win with and you're good at it, that is an edge.

spot on. If you are a good game reader and fast enough to react that is a big edge for in-running trader. Not panicking and identifying value odds are needed too.

I am not interested to buy a brand new car. I have an ambition in my life and I am saving money to achieve that. I do have plans to do some thing other than betting.
