£1.10 a day is a little soul destroying.
I think you need to iron out your P&L graphs. If you analyse it, you P&L graph will spike and trough far too steeply, suggesting your stakes (especially in the troughs) are unbalanced. Of course there will be spikes either way, as you win and lose to different amounts, but the spikes shouldn't be so protracted. The upward or downward trends should be quite smooth if you wish to show a control of your betting and help keep the right mind set imo. 11p an hour is an even worse figure. I'm not sure why you needed to add in the extra £7,500 as the only way you would need to dip into the bottom 3rd of your 10k would be if something catastrophic had happened, at which point all your options/priorities/stakes will have changed anyway. Having 10k there (of which 80% you are generally not using) seems to offer little help and opens you up to being overly confident with your staking and the dreaded 'fat fingers' mistake too. Concentrate on MUCH smaller stakes (and perhaps reduce bank?) If you only look to make £30 a day (over numerous tiny bets) then you will be blitzing your current £1 a day rate, instead of these crazy £250 bets left right and centre to make 11p an hour. At least whilst you figure out a decent strategy/system..? Genuine best of luck though. |

It is becoming a frequent occurrence that you are 'disappointed' by having a losing day, but view a day in profit as a good day, ive asked this question before and think its worth asking again, and worth serious consideration;
Can you have a day in profit where you make bad bets? and can you have a day when you lose and make good bets? You should be assessing every bet you make, before the event but equally as important, you should again assess it afterwards. All the best, and Merry Xmas. |

The typical delusional punter is unable to accept a loss and as such - behaves as follows:
1) Does NOT consider a chase that eventually results in profit or break-even to be a chase (puts it down to skill/judgement/edge etc) 2) DOES consider a chase that results in a huge loss - to be a chase and writes it off as such. 3) Then convinces himself, that if only he could cut out the chasing, everything would be great. Wow I amazed and a touch disappointed how quickly some people come on here to comment as if they have superior knowledge or respectfully forget that it is not their money that I am betting with.
.... and gee I was having a good day as well. Yes it is a public forum where people can post on (within reason) anything they wish therefore feel free to continue while I take this challenge privately ..... thanks to the support I have received .... and I am still proud of my achievement in the first challenge of turning £2.5K into £10K .... but slightly disappointed with not being able to push the £10K further in this second challenge (I am around £10.6K right now) .... but will continue on my merry way in private ... and use the money I (hopefully) will make in a worthwhile way. good luck to all you experts out there. |

what I learned about betting,
somepeople are better at doing, short stints, other people are better building a bank over many months or years. got to find your own style. I like to set a target, if I stop and start again. IDK, what matters is the profit. few thoughts |

You are doing well/ok. Which you know is better than most. Please read and think about what coolhand says on the previous page. You are one of the most honest posters on here, so you'll get these reactons, which doesn't mean the guys are wrong it just means you'll get reactions. TheManIsAGent above is a long term guy on here, knows what he is talking about. Listen maybe and try remove the emotion. Thats the key. Easier said than done but removing emotion is the best advice I could give and I wish you nothing but GL, you are close to making it mate. |

Mmmm ... as for not being criticised. While I listen (and learn) from others speaking about their own betting strategies, stories and thoughts (based on their own betting) .... I am not interested in people posting comments suggesting I ought to be doing this and doing that .... especially when it is my money I am using. Now I can see the difference but clearly others can't ... so more than happy to simply get on with it and let the experts (and guys like Paulme) get on with analysing their own betting as opposed to providing "feedback" on mine. Trust me I am a smart lad ... who although doesn't have all the answers am well aware of the strengths and weaknesses that I do possess and what is ultimately needed to succeed in this game ... As I keep pointing out ... I measure my return on the maximising of my "utility" which goes beyond simply the cold hard figure of what was earnt over a specified period of time. all the best to one and all.
