Not many races that appealed to me today...but still a PROFIT made on a very "ordinary" day's racing.

Good to get a second day in a row where PROFIT made.....always helps with confidence factor, and another good day will almost claw back the cumulative loss so far on thread.

Tightfisted - The stats above will be correct ...I trust you have totalled figures properly.

However, as far as I'm concerned they do not reflect the "truth" which is that i basically took 1 year away from checking every race daily to find a nap that might win.


I only looked at 1 race usually.....and by doing that my naps performance that YEAR was "bad".......

All the rest of the time I was "trying" to do well in tables.....but for that year I did not give a monkeys!


This year I have been "trying" to win naps championship this year......and up to end August was over 50 points in profit and topped the table for this year......but again this does not reflect the "truth" which is that I am at BF odds well above that re nap performance......The odds of my selections tend to be well above SP and also they tend to be at odds which fav backers won't achieve.

EG a winning nap at 20-1 SP is being backed at 40s on here etc .....

So it is better to back HIGH ODDS winners, rather than short priced ones ...as margin between SP and BF odds is far far greater.

BTW .........I have only checked all the races once this month looking for a nap....so i am struggling due to NOT "trying" SO FAR this month. The day I tried ......I chose wrong one of 2 ...and of course my nap lost and the other one won at 20-1 SP.........It was a toss of coin which one to select.

Just from memory, i did well one year ( probably 2008) where managed to get to near top of the naps table ( think I topped it at one point...for about 1 month[:p]) finishing in top 10 for the year to 2008 ( I think).

The following year ( 2009) is the year where I was preoccupied with other matters....and did not check every race looking for a nap....The results in 2009 were preety "bad" , as I was not "trying" to be top that year.

However, having finished the "other matters" , in 2010 I set out to be top of naps table by END OF YEAR. Have got to top of table too early, and this month have not been checking every race BEFORE RACING STARTS........so my results this month are "BAD".

Today ....I still have not looked at 1 race......as feeling a bit knackerted after watching football til 3.00 am......so again i will be just grabbing 1 race for a nap, and will only be "ad-libbing" on selections on this thread from race to race. So won't be surprised if the nap today loses......chances are it will, as not checking out every race.

In current year ...zipper is well behind me in naps table........but there are a few napsters ( many actually) such as RAZMOS who always seems to raise their game when I am near top of table for year......So I know I am doing well when "they" start to do well.....and I better start to get winners again ...otherwise I will not be top by end of year.( I'll probably slip down to 5th or 6th this month if I don't get winners soon!!!)
