200, I would like to echo all the previous posts, and say how much we would like you to continue with the daily lays, whether it be on this forum or by email. So please count me in if you should change your mind and continue.. The thing that makes this thread stand out from all the others as far as I am concerned, is the sincerity behind it. There is no whiff of the usual bulls*** you can smell on so many other threads, and none of the**y boasts, just sensible well written posts. My only real regret is I only started putting my money behind you from about halfway into your trial and that I didn't come back yesterday to see if you put any replacement lays once Catterick was abandoned!
Keep up the good work until the end of the week and gl for the future which ever way you go. |

hi bradders, no mate im all in all happy with the overall figures, its just the day it had to happen, plus when you have some that nearly made it and see them lose, its annoying, but thats how it goes and there have been days when a "nearly" lay has done the business, so i cant have it all ways ,lol,
The first winner back in early days was tough because it put me on a minus, the second put me even further behind, but i kept doing what im doing and what I do does overall produce more losers than winners so you have top have faith.. by time the third winner came i was on a fantastic run of a fortnight, so in a funny way i was kinda pleased it happened before you started to think you was invincible, it keeps the reality there.. The challenge can cope with this winner today, so on that basis its ok, but for other reasons i just really could have done with 3 nice days to finish off, Cheers :) |

Evening guys, a bit quiet in here tonight??
I hope some of you havnt been too badly hit after todays winner?? There will be winners along the way unfortunately which means a few days recovery period as regards points retrieval but for those that may follow here and there then it is a costly one off hit, but then these are the ones who could have fell lucky and picked any of the 24 winning days as opposed to the 4 losing ones, so I would like to think the number of losers is quite low!! I hope so anyway, I just wouldnt like anyone to have lost money on my account!! :) Going into the second week of the challenge I stood at - 6.1 pts and considering I can only obtain a maximum of 2 points a day, it was iimperative I stuck in there and kept the faith in what im doing, not start doubting and panicking which could influence my selection process. It was that time that I decided to set myself a target for whole 60 lays, thats why i have the average lay price noted, I worked out I could afford 5 winners at my average lay of 8.6 and still finish on +17 points. Instead of dreading the next winner, I knew i had 3 in my reserve so whatever happened I can handle it. Then i went on that great running sequence which was very welcomed and so when the 3rd winner came I had the points to cushsion it and if anyone remembers when it came in it didnt cause much concern at all. Yesterdays 28.5 was the optimum points total ive achieved thus far and with just 4 lays remaining I cannot reach that again, but with 2 100% days I can finish on 24.7 which would be 0.2 higher than i was on after 50 lays which would just mean ive cancelled out the last 5 days of the trial. Ive been blessed really to have picked this thread/forum as it just would not have worked on any other, even after a winning lay there has been no nastiness, you are all great . . . I wish you all the luck in what you are doing in the future, I know i have 2 days left but my real work starts NOW!!! Cheers all :) :) |

Good post 200, of course it's possible you could hit another 1, 2 or 3 winners and stuff all your profits, or even 4 winners, but the loss may be due only to the unreality of having to meet a dead line, with no time left to steady the ship. Which ever way it goes you sound like you put enough effort and research in to make it pay long term, so pop back in a few months and tell me I was right! :)

4.00 Taun INN FOR THE DANCER 8.8 ----------------------------------------------------- Well the penultimate day, hope to finish well, i know i rarely put much explanation up with selections, but it was quite difficult today, INN FOR THE DANCER got the nod ahead of a couple of other "nearlys', because ultimatley it has failed to win in 31 starts and my theory is they become a creature of habit and it doesnt like finishing alone, what do you guys think?? It meets everything i usually look out for so that was just the tilting factor. good luck :) |

CARRICKMINES ran a fair race a wee while back ...and going might well bring a good run out of it again.
However ...FOXSPUR probably wins with NAKROMA chasing it home...CARRICKMINES may well lead in this race ...so a back then lay is a "safer" way to play this one.....but you know far more re laying than I do. GL today with bets. |

Hi 200 you may have been better off with Harbour Breeze which also qualified in your system but your reasoning for laying Carrick Mines is sound enough good luck

tenmen, HB down on my list mate, i do see where you are coming from, i do think carrick mines could run well and could place but i tink at least one will be too strong, it has never won..
HB won last time it ran on similar ground so thought id be careful. anyway, we will know before dark if they are any good !! lol cheers :) |

Well Done on your achievment 200. I've been popping in most days and have admired your professionalism and quality that you have contributed to FootSoldiers thread. I am sure knowing FS that you will have a good future ahead. I hope that you may in some shape or form continue to post. As you see on this thread you have met great people who are not the usual down putters or muck rakers but are those who are looking for that elusive edge and will support anyone who is genuine as yourself. It's only a shame that it was not real money for you as you deserve it. I do wish you luck in the future as I am sure that with your knowledge and skiill and a steady staking plan which no doubt FS can advise, you will have a happy and prosperous future ahead. I appreciate that mate, I am sure i will be a visitor to this thread in future, its just I have spent alot of time over the last few months on computer, Im hoping now that soon i can start doing the things I used to do , I want to earn a nice crust from here, but actually make use of that by enjoying myself and that doesnt include spending all day in front of computer.. i agree there are some very good people on here,(the GB forum)thats why id like to keep an eye how peeps are, but I have a plan to spend the time required to make my selections, then basically after that, spend as little time in the house as i can ..lol Cheers :) |
