Thanks for your views Ivor.
I understand the bit about record keeping providing valuable clues about what pays and what doesn't. I said earlier that I could never be f/t on here, I've not got enough discipline and basically I'm not good enough..... It was my first weekend of laying the hosses, 24/25 is probably a fluke and I would never expect a 96% strike rate over a longer period of time. I'm only on here trying to make a few quid on the weekend, if I can manage that then I will be happy :) |
|

That's great - when will you be back here?
|

Away next weekend
You'll all have to cope by yourselves ;) I make 200's ROI 6.19% based on 50 lays, 500 per lay, ave price of 8.6, and net profit of 11760 |

HotPot has answered for me 200. The ROI is a measure to amount risked not to bank.

cheers ivor, i get u now,
-------------------------------- i know ive left my addy up on here and ive had some nice people email me which was nice and thanks.. Especially thanks to a couple of indivuals who have actually offered their support in financial terms too to varying degrees which is just amazing, once again many thanks.. But i didnt come on here to sell myself or my mehtod etc i just was skint and put my lays on my own thread as a subsitute for not having anything on them, just thought they were a decent thing going to waste so share them with others who may or may not gte any use out of them!! the interest then obviously heightened for me once Footsoldiers made the offer of the challenge, which i hope up till now i have done ok with, But i seen in his offer more of a helping hand to get me on track rather than a long term thing, which is why i wouldnt accept anyone elses offer , despite the temptaion being so good. so im just going to run down the rest of the 10 lays then wait what happens, but once again thanks to all who have been great, Cheers :) |

Question for 200, ... and anyone else interested. I gather you don't bother with the AW tracks. Just wondering why that is. I'm new to this myself but I would have thought their reliable surface would have made results less subject to wild upsets and therefore good lays eadsier to spot. Is it because there is normally less horses running. Any feedback welcome thanks....
|
|
By:
hi bomb,
to be honest it was just an early choice i made to avoid AW, no real tactical choice, if truth beknown, its to cut my workload as i cutting out IRISH and AW still leaves me with a good 8 or so on average to pick from, but i have over the last couple of days picked a selection of the AW and it has just produced one winner, but that was over 12 which wouldnt qualify as a lay for me, a nice friend of mine is collating all my results now for me into a spreadsheet, i therefore am going through all UK racing, but i will continue to stick to what i do, but if anyone asks me about AW in the future, i will be able to give them a strike rate etc , if it shows to be the same as im doing, then it gives me other options.. cheers :) |
