When: 06 Feb 08 16:00
cheers, you 3,

from the 3rd day after that first winner i have been playing catch up then when i was just about there i got the second, but its been a good tester to see if i can recover..

the first winner was the 6th race, then the second winner was the 6th race after that, so today i just wanted the 6th race out the way, lol, no longer stuck on 5 in a row!! :)

still 42 points up for grabs, so would love a decent run now,

Evenin all, a 1.01 horse lost in the last, anyone know how often that happens, once a week?

Trev - happens quite a lot across all sports to varying amounts. Sadly that horse broke it's leg when it would have won :-(

Evening folks. Have read all 122 pages over the space of the past week and got to say hats off to everyone who's contributed. Makes a change from the usual garbage that you see in the horse racing/soccer forums.

Anyway just going over what has been discussed on here, it is interesting to see the various adaptions to the RP naps table. Someone mentioned on here about a guy called Mindyerbeak who used the naps table for making lay selections. Somewhere amongst all my backup discs I had to entire thread from the forum that it came from and the strike rates were pretty impressive.

He looked at a number of ways of using the naps and a couple of them were mentioned on here. If I remember rightly some of the methods he did use:

SINBIN: lay the selection given by the tipster who was bottom of the naps table.
DONKEYS: Take the 3 longest losing run tipsters and lay their selections.
FREEFALL: I think this one was laying the selections of those tipsters that were 2nd, 3rd and 4th bottom of the naps table.
WINNING NAPS: Laying the selections that were given by tipsters who had a winner the previous day.

I think he used a couple of more ideas, but I can't remember them at the moment. If I can ever get the time to find the info I'll post it up for everyone.

Another guy on the same forum use to just lay the bottom 5 tipsters and again to a good strike rate.

Yet another method used using the RP, was laying the RP forecast favourite providing that there were 4 other horses in the RP betting forecast less than 10/1. I believe this method is still going strong and again has an excellent strike rate.

Has with all methods used, a good staking plan is required and probably one or two filters thrown in.

I hope this info is of use. I myself don't spend a lot of time doing the horses due to lack of time, but it might be worth someone on here having a look at these various possibilities ;)

If waytowin is looking in, as I know he does from time to time. Just to let you know, I got the promo and SL has become bitter and twisted :D In a dog eat dog world, sh1t happens ;)
