Hi All,

After such a successful C/S Laying thread for the 08/09 season i thought it may be time to open up a new thread for the forthcoming season.

I have been eagerly counting down the days until the 09/10 season kicks off and it is finally less than 24 hours away.

I havent had many bets in the pre-season and have decided to kick off this new season with a Correct Score Laying £1000 bank.

I shall be using 2 x banks of £250 with a back up 'pot" of £500 incase the first banks go BUST!! Initially i will be using the nail biting 'All In' staking system!!.

Im going to post a few thoughts on the Middlesborough v Sheff Utd match and will welcome al thoughts.

Hopefully together we can have yet another succesful season, but most of all...... PROFITABLE!!!!!!

I wanted to put a few stats into the opening match of the 09/10 season (sorry if I have bored you all to death!), im not sure if the above really means anything as opening matches can always be unpredictable, my initial thoughts are that Middlesborough, at home could be a good bet to win, I personally favour the Sheff Utd Lay Bet but as I will be concentrating on C/S lays I feel the only way to approach the opening match is to let it go IP first and gather my thoughts then.

Not sure if Leroy Lita will be starting but I rate him as a player and feel that he could have a good season in the Championship. On the other hand Sheffield Utd have ad an excellent group of Friendly matches and may be on a confidence high, narrowly missing out for promotion to the premiership (Burnley 1-0) I feel that they may give Boro a difficult time tomorrow night.

Any other thoughts are very much appreciated

Boraka- take a luck at the Laying Correct Score Market thread, lay bets are manly placed Prior to KO but i suppose you can lay whenever you like, as long as its a winner!!

Sligo- many thanks, hopefully you can continue on here and share the thoughts! excellent profit so far, keep up the excellent work.

Hi TOTGA .......fingers crossed all regulars can do well this season.....

First games are hard to predict IMO, mainly due to teams being at different levels of fitness at start of season.

Considering both teams will want a "good" result for fans , it is likely, as with many of such opening games that there will be few clear chances to score, as tight marking likely.

This game looks the type of game that could go either way, as , from memory, SU play a physical game and rely heavily on set pieces to grab goals. they might just "get lucky" early and grab such a goal..........and could not rule out them taking lead .

MIDD ....probably have better quality players ......but will they be allowed time to create chances........I doubt this in such a match.......so IMO could well be 0-0 HT.......but I just feel the physical presence of SU may enable then to get a goal 1st half ..........so 0-1 could happen too.

So if choosing a CS to lay it would be 1-0 MIDD.....as suspect SU will score at least 1 goal and MIDD may struggle to create chances to score.

My guess on how it finishes would be 0-2 or 1-2 SU......

GL with bets.

I'd better move to this thread then, if you dont mind.

Bet 1 - £10 - Fulham v Vetra - Lay 1-1 @ 26 .........WON
Bet 2 - £10.38 - Palmeiras v Gremio - Lay 0-0 @ 17.5....WON
Bet 3 - £10.98 - Middlesborough v Sheff Utd ????????????????

I'm going to watch the first 5 minutes and then decide ;-)

DFC- Great input and its good to hear from you.

I like your thoughts on the SU being a physical team and like you say, first games can be very tight, i think im most definitely going to let this go IP and get an initial "feel" to the game before risking any £££'s.

JAILER- Cant see the AU being a losing bet here, both teams quite strong and should be good defensively, could be a good bet. Great to hear from you and YEAH im certainly ready to roll!!!!!!!

DAN1974- All the very best, long may your profit continue.

OK guys ready to rock too.

Will follow and post my bets in Euro!

I am going to be following the championship closely this year. 0-0 last year was a good score to lay less than 10% finished 0-0. For the record see below

Total Number of Matches: 552
Number of Home Wins: 239 (43.2%)
Number of Away Wins: 151 (27.3%)
Number of Scoring Draws: 109 (19.7%)
Number of No-Score Draws: 53 (9.6%)

I will be looking to lay 0-0 in games where strong home fav team and also the 0-1 score in the same matches.

ready to rock, lol
good luck to all for the season, thank god we're back to meaningful games.
will probably have a punt on the Boro game, I see a 1-1 draw coming up, maybe 2-1 Boro, both sides can dish it out, both strong defensively, perhaps Boro want this more?
more interested in Wolfsburg, hopefully will trounce Stuttgart tonight.

Am inclined to think it will be a cagey affair so will probably go for a lay of UQ. Good luck all.

Going to keep posting on other thread to see if I can grow that bank to €2k with different staking.

Going to go for the purist route here on this thread and see how many in a row I can chalk up compounding.

Bet 1 - Lay to liability of €100 UQ in Middlesboro game

Having followed last seasons thread wit hinterest, i'm in this year.

£10 bank, all-in until I get a reasonably sized bank and take a bit of profit out, then might start think about % liability. Until then though here goes.

Bet 1 - Lay ANY UQ - Boro v Sheff Utd £0.58 @ 18 - £9.86 liability

Hello everyone,

I enjoyed last seasons thread and am going to be joining in on this one and see if I can turn a profit on the whole season. I'm going to start with £100 and keep going all in and hopefully reach the £500 mark. If I succeed I will probably look at splitting the bank in two and taking it from there.

I don't see many goals tonight. Sheffield are very tight at the back and Middlesborough really struggled for goals last term. Boro will be looking to win at home and I think united may settle for a draw and not throw players forward during open play.

I'm laying Boro 0-1 @ 10's if I can get matched.

Good luck everyone for the coming season.

By:

I like to lay one of the first 4 scores in the market. 1-1 is favourite then 1-0 then 0-0 then 0-1. I would never lay a Sheff U 0-0 away from home it's just too risky. I think Boro are more likely to score and if Boro should go behind then they will take more chances going for the equaliser. Until teams have played a few competitive games you are taking more of a chance especially before kick off.
