These Charity shield games are normally bore fests so 0-0 is a distinct possibility imo, i was thinking of laying AU.

Never got Middlesboro UQ bet on the other day.

Afternoon "guys".....some brief thoughts on -

Man Utd v Chelsea

Both will want to win this, but what tactics likely to be adopted????

CHELSEA have power to do well against most defences, if they choose to use it early in game..............but will they????

C have a few older players, and they may well be happy just to sit back and just restrict MU when they threaten..........then last 20 minutes up the tempo to try to win match.

MU's younger players will want to win this , and should be more eager to take game to C...........so IMO, I suspect MU will score first in match in first half.

What happens after that I've no idea....................both are capable of scoring goals , so could well be a high scoring game!

C are probably more dangerous from set pieces, and this will be their main tactic.....try to gain free-kicks around box/in the box! They might score first ........but just think the enthusiasm of younger MU players will give them more possession early, and they are the team that might score first .....

Would not surprise me to see this game finishing 3-3.......................if choosing a CS to lay it would be 0-1 CHELSEA, as MU IMO are more likely to score first and thereafter there could well be a high scroring match.

My guess on final score would be 3-2 MU.....................
