All gone now. I have just nicked the last bit.

Why did it take you over 24 hours to nick the last bit?

Why not? Is it unusual take stake some, review the situation, stake more and keep reviewing? Maybe it is but that is what I do.

Waiting over 24 hours to review a 15% Arb is crazy.
Informing everyone that one exists before taking it all is just plain stupid.

Your story just doesn't add up.

It does not really fuss me what you think. But it may assist your understanding if I explain that the arb is not the only bet I have on this event. Indeed I have somewhere between 200-300 matched bets on it and still 20 or so unmatched. When some more of those get matched I expect that I will have another nibble at it.

It is a moving feast.

Alex you talk incessant rubbish, I suspect you repeat it so often that you actually believe it. You are sad, so sad. Why dont you just become part of the real world and stop all this rubbish talk. Or is your need for constant attention too great ?

Plus the funds needed to take it all was about £45k which I will admit is beyond the sum that I have sitting in my betfair account.

£45K!!!!!

There wasn't that sort of money available on any market involving Horse racing or Soccer.

That means were looking for a sport with thousands on offer on 2 different markets.

I think that leaves us with nothing.

alex are you prepared to tell when all the money has gone and is sitiing on the other side of the book?

It was:

http://sports.betfair.com/Index.do?mi=100707908&ex=1&origin=MRL

And only the sort of thing you would normally spot if you happen to be seeding the markets.

All gone now.

All week people have been backing Pacman by KO. Some fairly decent wonga being placed on low odds.

£45K on those 2 markets?

I had a suspicion that you might come back with that.

If you want to back £1 at odds of say 16.0 then it absorbs £1 of funds. If you want to lay £1 at 16.0 is absorbs £15.

Bend your mind around this as well. Instead of looking at the blue book and backing the desired selection, think laterally instead and think about laying all of the other options.

When you have done the maffs you will find that I am coirrect.

Hmm, I think we have a little way to go on here yet. Found its way back up to 1.80. VC have just shortened from 1.80 to 1.62.

How can you explain that there was less than £1500 matched on one of those markets at
the time (evenly spread out across all selections)

Yes. I got greedy with Hatton yesterday but managed to recover and even skewed it towards the draw at the end.

Unfortunately I have guests arriving at 7pm although should have a couple of drunken hours after that before fight time.

How do you work that out JML? Surely you cannot be as stupid as Jinxy is, can you? Or can you? I had never really considered that possible before but maybe I need to rethink.

Sometimes a little alcohol can provide inspiration and flex the muscles in the fingers. Too much inevitably results in bad decisions though.

Do you think so? What evidence do you have for this please? If you look back up the fred I talked with 2 people on IM and they both agreed that my maffs were right and to the best of my knowledge and belief they will both profit from it.

I am not sure what your issue is here apart from jealousy.

You claimed that the arb used up £45K of your funds, but less than £1500 was matched on
one of these markets (Grouped Round Betting) at the time.

Even now the most matched on any selection is £800.

The % of the markets were about 110-96,yet you found a 15% arb.

Offer above £100 on those markets are rare 2 days before the bout.

But you claim to have found a 15% arb with thousands on offer.

Why don't you give details of your bets?

What would possess me to do that? I don't have anything to prove to somebody I don't know. I know how my P&L looks and that is all I need to focus on.

If you want details of my bets then I am thinking that you have a strange outlook on life.

I'm just giving you a chance to dig yourself a bigger hole.

You made a big mistake by chosing a market with only £1500 matched and only pennies
on offer on each selection and then talking about £45K.

You'll be more careful next time.

well done alex. i must admit i did look at those markets and although something didnt look quite right i couldnt find the right angle to have a go at it. Also it is knowing which ones are the wrong prices to have a nibble at first. much better to take the value one and then green up when the markets correct themselves
