There’s nothing wrong with some fighting spirit. We do need to know when to throw in the towel though. He was mocking you every time he advanced a Pa wn. I assume he retreated all his pieces to avoid the stalemate that you were after.

I was allowing him to do that, otherwise I could have resigned, I never resign. Only have to look at my loss record, zero resigns, it teaches you nothing, and does not build that fight you need, even in completely lost positions it's good to carry on as stalemate is possible too. The only reason I kept offering draws was as said, he was trolling by under-promoting and putting all his pieces back on original squares.
I would never do the same thing over the board, that would be pointless. Completely different etiquette and situation in general. Kind Regards. |

 Took 369 games, 239 wins, 20 draws, 110 losses (all excluding the 7 banned players) 2001 to be exact puts you in the top 0.3% 2339 in the UK, #117,234th globally from 72 million players this was the game that saw it over the line https://www.chess.com/game/live/173064524008 almost didn't see that tactic to win the Queen done with Rapid though, pretty sure I could reach 2100 but it's just too slow Kind Regards. |

You say you’re done with rapid as it’s too slow but quite a few games of yours I’ve seen run pretty deep. It’s rare they’ve got a minute left and you have five. |

exactly Ken, they go on forever, when my opponents taking ages I do other things, including getting up to make a cup of tea  then come back to see I'm low on time, really you're supposed to think on your opponents time. will probably start playing bullet AKA the crack cocaine of the chess world. |

I scored 219, Emit. It took two goes before I realised you got more points the quicker you answered.
I started a game the other night just as our door went. I was gone six or seven minutes. Came back, apologised to the opponent and still managed to win! |

Where have you been playing chess, Mes? If you’ve got less than 200 games on your other account yet got to 2000 so quickly on here, you’ve obviously put the hours in elsewhere?

Played loads of games as a guest on chess.com and lichess, mostly lichess in recent times.
Over 2000 Rapid and Bullet, in bullet I'm 43,000 out of 17 million players was over 2000 Blitz but will climb by way back up. Need to brush up my old tricks and traps, also played too many games this morning and lost concentration. Kind Regards. |

I prefer Lichess. Now I’ve got an account here though I don’t bother with Lichess. I suppose a rated game is more enjoyable than a random vs anyone.

On review, I gifted my queen at one point and I also missed 5 CM's in 1... I wont be improving beyond what I am..

a month of playing Rapid has affected my blitz skills, players playing 100mph to win on time, taking me time to re-train by blitz brain, will get to 2000 in the end but 1700/1800's are all pretty adept in every aspect of the basics of chess, no free wins.

376 Rapid games, 15 players I played have subsequently been banned, 2 closed for Abuse, not sure what closed for abuse means though.
313 Blitz games, Not 1 single player banned or closed for abuse. Suppose that makes some sense, people have got plenty of time to cheat in Rapid with so much time, but no time in speed chess like Blitz or bullet. |
