Serena never won Aussie Open and the US Open in the same year despite winning both events plenty of times and both being on outdoor hard.

( The German decline is so weird. They were bad 1998-2004 (somehow fluked a WC final in 2002 in the middle of this). Then they change entire structure from the grassroots and up after the flop in 2004 and ahead of their home WC and go bronze, bronze, gold. Been useless since. ) this was mentioned after the match, and its seems its Peps passing passing is to blame

Hamann on RTE said that Nagelsmann rarely watches games, never been to Milan to watch Bisseck or Brentford to watch Schade, only watches 1 or 2 Bundesliga games a month. Doesn't watch CL games, didn't go to CWC last summer to witness conditions when Martinez, Tuchel and Deschamps all did.
Klopp also gave out about the disallowed goal saying that Arsenal scored 60% of their goals like that last season. This is an utter myth, Arsenal rarely blocked the keeper last season but did it most of the time in previous seasons (via Ben White mainly). Keepers were impeded more often by their own defenders than Arsenal players last season. In any event before the tournament Collina said that if "the attacker clearly goes and illegally blocks the opponent; his only objective is to prevent the defender from being able to defend against his opponent. “We are convinced that this goal cannot stand, it is completely unfair. We want the VAR to intervene even if a foul is committed just before the ball is in play. We are convinced nobody can object to that." So that effectively constitutes a rule change that wasn't in effect before the WC and is referred to as screening or blocking. |

I thought Arsenal only stopped blocking the goalkeeper about 10 games into last season.
Certainly the new rules for fouls at corners are a direct consequence of Arsenal's antics. |
