What’s the point of having VAR,if they don’t check a penalty in extra time of the main final.
That’s the whole reason why they wanted it bringing in. At least let the ref see a video. Where’s the line between clear and obvious,if the original ref can’t check it. How does anyone know if it’s clear and obvious,if you don’t know what the on field ref saw or believed he saw,so only he can decide. |

On field ref ,at first look,says no pen.
Why not let the on field ref,just double check,he was right. Why have another ref,who has to believe it’s completely wrong. What about On field thinks 51% v 49% no pen.so dosent give it,looks at replay,now thinks 30% v 70% ,so believes it’s a pen. But the VAR ref can’t ask him to check,cos he thinks ,40% v 60% but that’s not enough for clear and obvious. It’s just,probably wrong,but not definitely wrong. Only the on field ref can’t ask decide. |
