Commentator and the bird beside him desperately trying to build the narrative that this game is now somehow competitive....not for me I'm afraid!!

Casablanca got every chance as juve look disjointed and hesitant.

Of course they might bang in another 4 or 5 whilst looking a bit disjointed

This match has so much rolling around in agony, they need a Director not a Referee

This competition is a farce. The major European teams are either too knackered to play professionally or just could not be bothered eg Juventus are struggling to put their stamp over Wydad (where do they play?) convincingly; PSG lost to Botafogo.

Who thought this competition was necessary? For instance, what is Auckland City doing there?

Benfica v Bayern
Boca Juniors v Auckland

Bayern already through
Boca need to hope that Bayern beat Benfica and score a hat full against Auckland

Where's the value? Scrolling through the Auckland game under 5.5 is even money.
Benfica need a draw and maybe they will play for one, 0-0 stands out at 20. Risky yes but just maybe...HT 0-0 at 3.8 is less so.

I'm not looking for value bets, I'm looking for winners so I've gone over 3.5 goals in the Boca Auckland game. That should be achievable.

Back 0-0 at 20,lay the 4.1 0-0 HT, view to trade, surely can't lose, famous last words...

Good luck, I've often been happy with a 20% return as you know. I've gone for trivial stakes on those I mentioned just to have an interest as there's nowt else going on.

I can see Bayern going for it. German efficiency Grin

I will trade the 0-0 before the end if it's still running Donny as you so often see a two fat ladies spoiler goal just when you are mentally counting your money.

German efficiency? A bit of a myth, trains no longer run to time over there.

Oh, sure, nothing worse than seeing a 20/1 go down on a bit of tiredness when theres
a simple trade. Good luck.

Boca Juniors? What happened to them yesterday? I thought Auckland City is an amateur club.

The match was played in 35 degree heat requiring several cooling breaks.
Auckland City put up a stout defence and conceded most of the possession and play to Boca limiting them to a single goal in the first half. Boca had many shots from distance and hit the woodwork three times, one rebound deflecting off the Kiwi goalie into the net.
Seven minutes into the second half Auckland scored with a header from a corner kick and soon afterwards play was suspended for a prolonged period due to the weather.
I stopped watching at that point and I believe the result of the Benfica match was known when play resumed and Boca were already eliminated.

Auckland look a decent outfit domestically but hopelessly underprepared
for physicality of this group.

Once that's gone they are able to show their game.

Obviously dominant in their home confederation
yet lightyears behind europe/south America but
can only learn from this.

Some of their play in attacking transitions was excellent
and deserved to score,... Maybe lucky to take a point
but I was delighted for them.

Has the makings of being a cracking match but it's going to be in Orlando at 3pm local Shocked

Stupid comp. Only you hardened punters are getting joy out of it, assuming you're winning that is.

When: 26 Jun 25 14:20
This is a very mismatched group, two top teams and two minnows with one goal between them. There's no form to go on and no motivation to over-exert in the summer heat at this stage. Two draws will suit everyone I reckon, perhaps even 0-0 will come good in at least one of them.

Foinavon

It's a bit of fun if you stick to minimum stakes Aspro.

I watched second half of Inter v River Plate this morning.. Feisty and entertaining.. That was my first look at the comp. I might be hooked. Cool
