I've backed it a little on Betfair but don't expect to get more matched there. 3/1 still with BV and their white labels. 11/4 with bookies who take Kambi odds. 5/2 with Sky and 365. 13/5 on general machines with Freds (limit was just over £132 when it was 3/1) but not Jennings or BHB. That might be on PP machines. WH had decent limits when they were 11/4 but they are now 2/1. They disappointed at the Olympics losing to Brazil in the semis, but won the last Nations League on the bridle. They'd still have won it giving the other teams a goal start. They beat Switzerland 7-1 and 5-1 in the group who they could meet in the quarters. Barcelona have eight Spanish starters and outclassed Chelsea in the semis of the CL and are rated nearly 2 goals superior to Arsenal in the final. I' haven't come across a match since the WC win where they had less attempts on goal than their opponents. They do concede goals, but normally (not always) they have so many chances themselves it doesn't matter. They lost 1-0 in England in this year's NL, but England were a bit fortunate. Spain were 4/5 to win that match.

England route to the final
If England win Group D: Quarter-finals: If England win Group D, they’ll face the runners-up of Group C, which is expected to be Denmark or Sweden. Semi-finals: Next up, it will be the Group B winners or Group A runners-up. That will likely be Spain or hosts Switzerland. Final: In the final, the likes of Germany or Norway could await. There could also be a rematch against one of their Group D opponents. If England finish second in Group D: Quarter-finals: If England finish as runners-up in Group D, they’ll face the Group C winners — Germany are the favourites to top that group. Semi-finals: Then it’ll be the Group A winners or Group B runners-up. That will likely be Norway or Italy. Final: In the final, Spain would be the most likely opponents. Unless they’re upset by Group D’s winners. Who are the favourites for Women’s Euro 2025? World champions Spain are the favourites to win Women’s Euro 2025. They beat England in the final in 2023 to claim that crown. But Germany and France are also fancied. |

Barce wimmin lost to Arsenal,...
By:
Barcelona virtually is The Spanish National team. I'm taking it as a +ve as they'll be more hungry now.
Arsenal did far better against them than than Chelsea. Restricted Barce to just the 20 shots and 12 corners. I watched the 2nd half and many of Barce's shots were from distance and Barce's XG was only about 1, so fair play to the Arsenal women. They did look threatening on the break. Against Chelsea, over the 2 legs, Barce had a combined XG of about 7, so the 8 goals they scored against them was a pretty fair reflection of that match. |

Scoring the first goal is prolly vital if you are playing Barcelona or Spain. Once they take the lead they are arguably more assured and stroll to victory. Frustate them, ride your luck and then take the lead, hold your composure and defend resolutely, maybe they panic a bit. Bit like the Palace v Man City and Spurs v Man Utd matches in that regard last night

Quite a common thing in football.
In other sports being dominant is more likely to be rewarded Footy sees a lot of counter punches rewarded |

Absolutely will they be hungry for success. Good call Clyde.

Spain v engerland on now
Engerland 1 up, rather against run of play |
By:
Spain deservedly turn it around, 2-1 after 70.
By:
there's no way Spain are going off 5/2 which is still available in a few places
By:
best technical team by a mile (as have been for a while) but England had absolutely no plan b which was a bit disappointing to say the least..
By:
surprised to see bet365 still going 5/2
By:
If England are genuinely 2nd best team then Spain should be odds on.

2/1 best price now (9/4 with Betway but they don't count. They are often best price on things, but if you manage to get anything on then you have the hurdles of getting paid out. In my experience that can be a pain in the @rse) Generally 7/4
3-1 win for Spain over Japan in the friendly warm up today. Japan took the lead with their first shot (so bit like England did). 71% possession 20 shots to 2 45 to 9 touches in opposition box and 5 corners to 1. Expect similar stats till at least the semis. Bonmati didn't play due to a fever. Hopefully not an issue. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/JcR3DEnSaBc What a sweetheart she is |
