Newcastle have agreed a fee of £55m to sign Anthony Elanga from Nottingham Forest.
Although there are still the finer points of the deal still to be sorted, it is understood the framework of it is agreed. Newcastle launched an offer of £55m late last week and discussions since are understood to have centred on the structure of the payments. Elanga is poised to travel to Newcastle to undergo a medical and complete the move once things are finalised. He is understood to be excited to play for a club in the Champions League. sky sports |

To be fair he must see all these ex-man United players winning trophies and feel left out.

Simon Adingra to Sunderland, here we go! Deal done with Brighton for €21m fixed fee plus €3m add-ons.
Personal terms also agreed with medical to follow next, one more addition for #SAFC. Player on his way to complete the move, as @SkySports_Keith reports. |

Arsenal have submitted initial bid for Noni Madueke around £50m package, add-ons included.
Chelsea want more than £50m fixed as Elanga/similar deals remain their reference. Good relationship between clubs as talks continue, Madueke agreed terms with Arsenal. Fab.R |

Arsenal are stepping up their pursuit of Eberechi Eze.
A bid worth £45m plus performance-related bonuses has been submitted to Crystal Palace, coming close to the £67.5m release clause. Palace are beginning to soften and the player is ready to say yes. Seb.V |

A nice write up from an arsenal fan.
Posted a while back, but reposted in light of all these transfers https://billycarpenter.substack.com/p/scouting-wingers .. |

Is there room for 2 Jesus' in the premiership?
Plenty of scope for Wood, crosses and Jesus puns at Forest now. |
By:
Jesus on the end of a Wood Cross. Would a commentator of a forest game get away with that 'un
By:
He’ll go missing around Easter time

Why do Arsenal want Madueke?
Makes no sense whatsoever. Decent player buy why pay £50 million ( they won't ) and to a rival that has Fair Play issues! Same with Havertz. Fine player I am sure but why? Hopefully Nwaneri is just paper talk! |

Arsenal have no class. pay the bloody money for both Gykores and Eze...Missing pieces!
By:
I like Madueke, good player. At least Arsenil are have a punt out there. End result... who knows?

Gykores still pending
Ekitike wants prem league too |
By:
At this rate Arsenal will be signing one of the Birmingham binmen
By:
Madueke isn't the type of player you buy to win things. Cheslea fans I know are delighted he's off

Tottenham are now accelerating talks with Nottingham Forest for Morgan Gibbs-White. After securing Mohammed Kudus, Spurs have moved quickly for the versatile midfielder, highly rated by Thomas Frank. A fee over £60m will be required.

Gibbs-White has turned around very quickly. Didn't see that coming when I woke this morning but the recent press has it almost as a done deal.
By:
Spurs have apparently agreed to pay
the release clause in his contract. |
By:
is he any good/
By:
He has some form, which forced Pep to consider him. Since cooled, so Spurs have stepped in. Soon find out.
By:
gl i hope he plays well for you apart from v liverpool of course
By:
First Elanga goes for 55 and now scrooge Levy is apparently willing to stump up 60 for Gibbs-White.....whilst many think that United are being mugged off by Brentford who are insisting on holding out for 65before they let their 20 goal season player leave....getting him cheap on a strict line through those two IMO.
By:
United can use the kick back from the Elanga deal to make up the difference they are currently haggling over.!!
By:
Gibbs white is a great purchase
Forest fans disbelieving they are losing him whilst accepting elanga leaving tells it's own story. |
By:
some suggestion that Utd were as much haggling over how the payments would be made (timings) as much as the total sum..
people seem to forget Utd haven't got much money currently.. |
By:
Suggestion they are 2.5m adrift
on transfer fee... A couple of months wages |
By:
yep but as with Cunha who they tried to get over a longer period of repayments (Wolves declined) it's potentially very relevant here..
By:
basically Utd are continuing to max out their credit card in the hope of quick turnaround..
although they clearly did lie about the true accounts when justifying the ticket rises..took even the savvy end of the media to catch up with that.. |
By:
Need some sales and all will be rosey.
Otherwise this will be a bad year to carry for 3 years in terms of ffp. |
By:
Could do with getting Greenwood shifted for big fee as seems to be big sell on there!
By:
well, exactly..but players and other clubs (even the BF forum) know the score..talk of Sancho going for 15m rather than 25m to offset the wages issue in moving him..
Napoli reported to be again interested in Garnacho but as we know a lot of this is either overstated or pure fabrication until it's virtually done... |
By:
Good news!
Real Madrid have reached an agreement to re-sign their former academy graduate Alvaro Carreras from Benfica in a deal worth €50million Manchester United will receive 20% of the fee after selling the player last year |
By:
bit difficult to know how to feel about some of the sell ons ..tbf he (Carreras) was young and playing for Preston with decent but not worldy performances so probably wasn't an obvious miss and then developed a lot, quickly at Benfica though ETH should probably have recalled in the 23-24 season when Utd were short at LB..
Elanga I said at the time on Forest thread felt a potential bargain but maybe once add on included reflects his stock at the time.. |
