Have to agree

He us in the shop window. Don’t see why Arsenal did not make a bid. Send Sterling back, get subsidised wages from Manchester. No brainer. Not just a lot to prove to generate a contract but he might enjoy things at Arsenal. He is a good footballer.

I'm due for a eye test but did Amorim actually try to play Mainoo as a 9 today?

I presume my eyesight is acting up and he didn't actually try that did he?

if he did that would be up there with Stuart Pearce throwing David James up front.

Probably trying to get the attention of the club to sign an attacking player before the window shuts (Tel of Bayern keen to join having turned down Spurs - Utd enquired about loan but Munich only willing to loan with buy obligation)..

Putting aside your usual agenderised post..it was a strange choice but plenty of teams have played a false 9 which is what he was and neither of the two available strikers (Zirkzee not even a striker really) are adding enough when playing..

the biggest flaw in it was that he'd had a really decent game in one of the 10 positions the other night..

On TalkSport this morning...

"Marcus Rashford is now a Villa player and next we have the views of Villa legend Gabriel Agbonlahor!".

That's how far Rashford has fallen.

Alot are talking of Villa covering so much of his salary but they are paying no loan fee which is staggering for a player like that. Its basically fudging numbers by Utd to make sure its not shown Utd are subsidising a massive part of his salary

and he can afford a Chauffeur on 300 Large a week.

It will be interesting to see how he plays. I think he is a good player still and maybe is waiting for Barca in the summer. I do not understand why he would move to an English club permanently.

He will have good players around and behind him. I expect him and Villa to do well.

Rashford will be training with 20 odd new team mates all of whom would give their right arms to play for Manchester United.

It's the gansta/***** lifestyle he's living nowadays.

You don't think Amorim dropped him for nothing do you!

He does look a stone overweight there.

That's the thing about players nowadays. They get the big contract and it's only a select few who still think that it's only the start and they need to really work extra hard now. So easy to think you've made it, surround yourself with hangers on and live the lifestyle befitting the wage.

Agree. Galling for the clubs. Manchester United could supply free school meals to every child in Manchester instead of paying Rashford's wages to play for Aston Villa.

I think he will do well at villa loan, it's difficult to go on loan, acceptance in dressing room, I don't think that will be problem to him, possibly opposite, interesting to see what happens, he is definitely a serious player when he is ready to go, time will tell.

He is a very good player who has never let England down and looked very effective at previous tournaments. He could be again on the left but now we have plenty of options and competition for places.

Rashford, is one of those Rolls Royce players. I suspect someone/something toxic has got into his head, not saying Jadon Sancho.. But I believe it was Jaydon Sancho (wrong'un)

Disappointing for England imho

Probably a little low on confidence. He has pace which at international level is vital but just did not do it for me. He showed glimpses in the first game and maybe would be more effective against a top side who did not park the bus but tbf we did not get him quick ball and the full backs were of little help. He is definitely one to watch.

Back to United and loaned out again unless he takes a pay cut, nobody will pay him close to what he's on at Utd. Doubt Villa will exercise their option.

He reminds me of a slightly upgraded Theo Walcott, great at running in straight lines very fast but struggles to turn corners, turn a player and can't cross and only has a half decent shot on him, his career has gone by quickly since Van Gaal gave him his debut, will be 28 this year and when he retires he will be best known for school dinners. Kind Regards.

Marcus Rashford’s future is very much in the category of “up in the air”.

The chances of him ever playing for Manchester United look slim-to-none as he will not be given a boarding pass for the club’s US tour, while a dream move to Barcelona is going up in smoke.

A few Serie A clubs have had a sniff but his wages may be a stumbling block. What he really needs is a Champions League club with plenty of cash.

Step in … Newcastle. The Magpies are back in the bigger time, will be eager to make a statement signing or two, and Rashford fits the bill. Liam Delap chose Chelsea over Newcastle and Eddie Howe likes to have the best English talent at his disposal, so Rashford would be an ideal candidate as an extra attacking option.

mmmmmmmmm
